Really beautiful ES! I love all the crowds and flags, that must've taken quite a while in the LE. The botanical gardens look fantastic and the stadium is pretty epic too. You should bid again Razz.

MY GOD, IT'S ONE OF THE WORST SONG I'VE EVER HEARD!!! The cheesiness is killing me...Good video though Laughing (except for the parts showing the singer). So is this really the end of the torch relay, how sad Sad It's been great though.

Simlympic Torch Relay - Page 3 Torchrelayfinalelogogo7

Valère of the Adrian Union is proud to present the conclusion of round the world, union, galaxies torch relay.

The torch arrived at Valère airfield and was presented to the Monarch of Valère to run into downtown, a mere 30 miles away. In this segment of the torch relay, everything will be run by a person, no cars, ferries, or rail to honor the ancients who ran the whole thing.

After arriving at the airport and passed on to the Monarch, he proceeded to take off running through Valère rural and suburban areas before reaching downtown.

When the Monarch reached downtown, for the first time in the entire torch relay, he lit a calderon on fire as an "pause" in the torch relay so people could gather and take photos of theirselves next to the famed torch. It was also a nice way to respect and honor the athletes from all the various of nations in the upcoming Simlympics tomorrow.

As night arrived. The real torch relay was taking place. In another twist, all of the torch bearers were NOT of Valère orgin, but rather, past olympic host guests. The route is planned to follow the lightrail loop taking a full loop around downtown Valère before ending up where it started for a spectactular finale that organizers spent two months of creating for a finale that nobody would forget.

First was New Rhodesia track star who lit his torch from the calderon and ran 100 meters in honor of his record breaking relay team before passing off to a wrestler from Dunstonville who ran through the roaring crowds on both sides of the avenue. He finally passed it off to Avery archery star which ran with a huge beaming smile on his face in front of the Valèrean crowd who was cheering and taking photos like wildfire. Avery passed it off to Nyhaven swimmer to run another 500 meters to pass it off to Osterland discus athlete with the crowd roaring even loudly as the torch was now 2/3 around the downtown loop. Osterland passed off to Windsor Park, by then the crowd was off their feets roaring at top of their lungs waiting to see the suspense.

As the runner approached the park, the Winsdor Park athlete stopped before the outdoor stadium and looked directly in the crowd and smiled smugly like he seemed to know what to do. He walked casually to the beautiful arches that vaulted the park grounds and seemed to lower the torch to the steel itself. All of sudden the whole steel started on fire and spreaded inwards toward the bandshell until the whole cross-crossing lattce was ablaze on fire. The whole spectacle took the crowd off its feet and gasped at the sight of the huge seemly bonfire in the park. As soon as it began it started to dimish and the last blaze died away.

After this, fireworks in grand fashion proceeded for thirty minutes to sucessfully conclude the round the world / union / galaxies torch relay and honorably passes over the torch to the host of Penthesili for the opening ceremony.

Congratulation Penthesili and we look forward to the Simlympics

Thank you to Slacker for organizing the whole thing, thank you to Sim and Canuck for posting the torch relay promoting the Simlympic when Slacker was away.

Heres to Simlympics 2009.

Neat video Mitsos Laughing.

Fantastic job Kumba. I love the idea of the pause and the runners from each of the past hosts carrying the torch. Oh and "Monarch of Valère to run into downtown, a mere 30 miles away." Hah Razz.
