Calioshire/Quintessa Bid
Hello,
Since I'm not sure I can host August (unless my absence wouldn't be a problem) Here is my future bid for either August or the games after that.
By the way, I can't seem to be able to resize my images-if anyone could help me that would be great.
Here it is - directly from ST.
Calioshire: Northwest Atlantic Ocean (most of Atlantic Canada was taken over )
Quintessa: An offshore island nation nearby
Both North American!
Links to CANDYLAND throughout this bid are available for your convenience.
More images available in my journal CANDYLAND!
Both regions are very scenic with many waterways for water sports and large mountain ranges for biking, etc. Each region has excellent transport networks to ensure no trip between stadiums takes more than 15 minutes. Airplanes, ferries, and a subway tunnel connect the two regions. Services are available to cater to every patron's needs, including religion, language, and transportation flexibility.
Here are some pics of the venues and their wonderful scenic surroundings:
Key: Red=mountains/water, blue=transport, yellow= under construction, green=stadiums/arenas
Quintessa: little quick map I did in paint in 5 min.
Calioshire venue map: similar coloring. Green dots are all available stadiums/arenas or other land venues. yellow=water, red=mountain, blue=transport.
Sorry for the crude maps. Now for the good stuff!
More images available in my journal CANDYLAND!
First draft of the logo: used for pamphlets and flyers.
I have a better one, don't worry. This one is used for commercial uses e.g. posters. It has the old New York 2014 logo in it, but I think that's OK since this is just a game. the rest is my work.
Calioshire/Quintessa Simlympics - Where Else, you ask?
Don't ask! There's no answer
Err...perhaps a bit obnoxious?
No! We mean it!
Time for some other random shots of the region, including nature shots and a panorama!
Ironbrook Bridge and Rose Island, Sharon Inlet, Quintessa.
Boulder Creek Bridge, Sharon Inlet, Quintessa.
Finally, a panorama of Port Biloxi, One of the major cities in Quintessa. Full size version exclusive to my cj coming soon!
More Calioshire images are in my journal CANDYLAND!
This concludes today's bid. I'll open a thread at the site with all information!

Re: Calioshire/Quintessa Bid
Looking good IDS . Looks like there's going to be a lot of venues, which is always great, and transport is looking fantastic too. Can't wait for the full bid .
Ps. Don't worry about image sizes, we don't have any restrictions here.

Re: Calioshire/Quintessa Bid
Lol, thanks, the maps are awful but all I can do ATM.
All right! Here's more of the bid, highlighting several venues in the city of Dumbarton Bay and their surroundings. Starting off with a nature shot of what is locally called Black Mountainside, similar to the Black Hills.
Next up is Red Hill Center, a shopping and low wealth residential district with several attractions. Several surrounding stores can be seen, along with the western wealthy sector and the eastern housing projects.
Another shot of the housing projects and Red Hill Center.
Here's one stadium intended for soccer but can be converted for several sports: it is near downtown hence the highrises. Underground parking available at all venues.
Here's a shot of the northern section of town, near Westbrook Forest Wildlife Preserve. Seen in the picture is St. Mary's Cathedral. Funding for the cathedral was provided by Gene and Roger Newman, two brothers in the masonry business. They have an ice arena and federal building named after them, as seen in the picture.
Westbrook Aquatic Center: one of many swimming pools in the Dumbarton Area.
Christine Castle: Built in the early 1200s on a small island when Quintessa belonged to the Vikings. (Keep in mind this region is in the northwest Atlantic, just Northeast of the US.
St. Joseph's Hospital for any needs of patients coming to the region.
Here are two large venues just outside of downtown near Red Hill: Topaz Ampitheatre and Adobe Stadium.
Dumbarton Bay Civic Center: With several gathering halls for table tennis, judo, etc.
Dumbarton Bay Farmers Market:
Another multipurpose stadium to be converted:
Here is Southport Field for baseball: yes I like the Maxis stadiums, so what they work.
Finally, here is Green Hill Center, near Red Hill Center just not as big and intended for upper class sims:
Thanks for checking out today's bid!

Awesome, the first shot of Black Mountainside is really nicely done . The stadiums are looking great too, looking forward to seeing the park.
