Simlympic HQ Competition

As requested by some of you, I've finally decided to launch a Simlympic HQ competition. Depending on popularity, here's how I foresee it going:

- One HQ per Geographical Region/Union
- ISC then votes on which HQ we like the most for each region/union

One thing I must stress though, is I want this to be open to all union members; so Union leaders, please don't restrict who can participate in this competition, as union HQs are just a way of ensuring as many people as possible can have a HQ. And so we can spread our wings .

So, if you're interested simply post in this thread with the following;

Pictures of the HQ, or alternatively pictures of where the HQ would be located and the building you wish to use as the HQ. Be as creative as you like, and remember we aren't going to need 7 or 8 skyscrapers, so if some people have done one; try something different . Variety is the spice of lie after all!

Oh, and depending on how the competition goes... we may decide that one of the regional HQs should be the International HQ too .

Rajavick proposes the COFR Simlympic HQ be housed inside the now under construction Simlympic Broadcasting center after the games are finished. 25Km out side the city center it is surrounded by beautiful views and is also located inside the Rajavick Simlympic Park. The Building is connected by the red line in the metro system and is also connected by the A278, An 8 lane express way connecting Rajavick to Traja. The building was desinged by the Aslow architect firm Gringe-Kirak and had a cost of 110 million dollars.

Cheers max, looks good - I like the idea of having a HQ in a sports area, I hadn't thought of it being placed there.

Dubbed as the Simlympic Capital of Eastern Europe, the city of Ordona has been transformed into a simlympic beach paradise. This city is famous for the innovative and breath-taking Petrova Simlympic Park which, instead of the usual green, uses the beach as its pristine environment. Besides that, Ordona is home to the Gersbach Village, also know as the Ambassador's Village where numerous embassies are located. There are other ammenities such as the Arevalo Mall and the DisneyPetrova theme park. The DisneyPetrova theme park is to be completed by late May. Have an ISC HQ in paradise, Ordona, Petrova!




The proposed HQ from Petrova is the Paragrad Broadcast Center. It will be used for international broadcasting once the Simlympic Park is completed in June. There will be a sky deck for a breath-taking view of the complex and the beaches below. Ordona offers numerous five star hotels and restaurants in preparation for the 2010 Chihiro Simlympic Bid.

Witanceaster is the capital of Æscgeard, a position it has held since the merging of the Cimbric crowns in 1350. It houses the Witenagemot (parliament) and the Council of the Seaxwealden (the capital territory), as well as Mereburg Palent, the residence of the King, and has a population of approximately 1.2 million. The city is serviced by Witanceaster Cynelyftfeld (Winchester King's Airport), from which ÆLFA, the national carrier, flies across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.


The new ISC Olympic Centre will be sited on Akemanweg in downtown Witanceaster. Normally, such a site simply isn't available in the historic and densely developed inner city, but a recent fire resulted in the demolition of a couple of blocks of old timber structures. The Centre is designed by renowned local architectural firm Gerén & Léofing, who have come up with a semi-circular building as a nod to the Olympic rings, with a large geodesic sphere as a centrepiece, which lights up with a map of the world at night. The interior contains ample space for the 11 delegates and their personal staff, and includes conference facilities and a secure underground carpark. Its location also allows easy access to the Underferian (subway) and Trameweg (tram) networks, and it is just a short walk to the Witanceaster Midlen Ísenhéahweg rail station. All three connect with the Cynelyftfeld.

Ooops, seems I've rather neglected this.

I'll leave it open till June 14th, a day before the ISC Session so we can vote for the HQ hosts at the same time as voting for the host of the Simlympics.

Regarding Ainkiens application... I'll wait and see what knarfmo has to say, I guess he'll probably want to transfer his bod over to say Eurasia if he's left the AIN.

It's definitely possible. It's just a matter of if there are enough Oceanic countries to justify a grouping.

The headquarters would be located in the building in the far left of the complex. This is a brand new complex in Melbourne which uses the latest technology and has a 6 star energy rating. Also, this complex is geographically in the centre of the sporting area in Melbourne.

The buildings use a system of natural ventilation to reduce emissions, recycle all water used and promote sustainable and eco friendly development. This development is seen as a world leader in sustainablility aims to promote sustainable energy use in the sporting field, such as eco friendly buildings etc.
