If anyone has any feedback on the October Simlympics (Thoughts, feelings, suggestions etc) or on the Simlympics in general we're very interested to hear it. Just post here or send me a PM.

Some discussion points to get you started:

- PAS. We made some adjustments to the system and felt it worked perfectly this time around.
- PAS form. We're aware having a spreadsheet isn't ideal, how do you find it?
- Warm up tournaments. What do you want from these? Do you even want them?

- PAS, I liked it a lot this time around maybe a little more time to submit it, we had a little trouble with that this time around.

-I love the PAS form personally, I know it doesn't work for everyone but I love the professionalism of it. I think it's easy to use and using the spread sheet allows you to check your math

-I think if a PAS is not submitted for that particular sport, or its submitted as 0 then the team wouldn't be in the qualifying tournament, and added onto the trimmed down list I think this would make it more manageable than we had last time

-I think one thing the ISC might want to look into is not allowing a nation that did not submit the PAS to compete, or keeping one on file from the last games so like. I send in a PAS for this games, but don't have the chance to for next games; this way the PAS is still submitted but with out updated points. If you're a first timer to the games then you shouldn't be winning medals if you didn't submit a PAS.

-Over all this was the best games so far I think. Lots of action some budding rivalries I think all that happened over the games was good for the games as a whole.

Yup, this is definitely something you'll see in the future. It was never our intention to have that little time for people to submit PAS, but some things are out of our control. For the Winter Simlympics we aim to have it up some time in December Smile.

This is already the case Smile.

We've discussed making PAS mandatory but decided against it for a number of reasons. It's an interesting idea though. I like carrying PAS from past games through, that could definitely work out.

Very Happy.

Well, I actually have a tip for sports but wasn't sure where to put it so...

Tennis currently only covers Male's tennis, so maybe next Simlympics you could add Women's tennis too? (I know this because of the results, women only have to play 2 sets to win while men play 3 sets) Smile

As for the PAS, I like the system and it's easy to use but maybe I need some advice with it to fill it in better in order to get more medals, LOL :p

Carmine you definitly may see Womens tennis currently all Summer Sports are genderless. The Winter games will be the first Gendered Games.

As Canuck said, we're adding gendered events to the Winter Simlympics - if it's successful we may chose to implement gendered events for the Summer Simlympics too. We'd like to do it straight away, but it would literally double the amount of results we have to post. We don't want a situation where results take up 20/30 posts Razz.

Haha, the beauty with PAS is there is no magic formula. You have (pretty much) equal chance of winning the most medals no matter how you allocate your points (With a few obvious exceptions, e.g putting all your points in one event).

And even that doesn't always work!

Think of PAS this way: you will most likely win the same number of medals overall, but PAS allows you to target the sports your country likes and wants to do well in, over those that maybe aren't so popular. Because of the inherent unpredictability of sport, nothing is guaranteed.

I think that the current PAS form is great, I like the simplicity and anyone can fill it out Smile

As for the warm up tournaments, I like this idea because it gives the other bidders a chance to participate and host something besides the torch relay. What if we have some sort of mini welcoming ceremony in each host of the tournament so that at least the losing candidates get to show what could've happened....Idk, its just an idea lol Razz
