Thanks - I'm in the process of going through the list of venues. I'm confident that the infrastructure will be in place in time. Though Yorke will be the hub, Providence and Redding will also host events. Yorke Bay provides a wonderful natural venue for sailing. Many of the required stadia already exist. I am also in the process of updating the City Journal on Simtropolis. There will be a thread there dedicated to the bid shortly.

At this stage, the only venues yet to be built are:

- Archery
- Canoe rapids
- Velodrome
- Equestrian Centre
- Field Hockey
- Shooting
- Beach volleyball

As in comments should by put in the comments thread, bid threads should be for only the bid and comments thread for the comments.

Once bidding officially opens and this bid becomes an official one, the threads will no doubt be split.

sims for possible bids the thrad is one once the official Bid opens up he'll do 2 threads 1 for the Bid and 1 for the comments as this is a summer bid we won't see the next official Summer window open in March or April if I remeber correctly

All venues have been completed. Most venues are in Yorke, all but 2 are in the District of Yorke Bay. Providence will host the basketball and Redding will host weightlifting and wrestling.

The Olympic Park has been slightly redesigned, with a hockey stadium and veledrome added - the regatta centre has been moved to Point Alesford, just North of Yorke, next to the whitewater stadium.

A competition was held in Arcacia to find an official mascot for Yorke 2010. The winner was Jacob Kattenberg from Castlekeep, Yorke Bay. Meet Pyro, the Simlympic Flame!
