Tirnreich 2011

Post by Liberater444 on Tue Jul 20, 2010 6:04 pm

Liberater444 here! Check out this bid for the 2011 Simlympic Games! Currently, my logo and park are under construction. This will serve as a quick intro to my bid:

Two Logo Options:
I've decided after several comments on my logo that this one is better. I agree completely. It is currently the official bid logo for the 2011 Summer Simlympic Games.

Q&A-Bid
What made you want to host the SUMMER games?
I really want to host a Simlympic Games, and I think that my best chances and favored city building style are more fit for the venues that the summer games require.

Describe the Simlympic Venues.
For starters, the Simlympics will be played out in several cities in the Imperial Capital District. While exact details have yet to be planned out, the following venues will be used for their respective purposes:
  • Republik Stadt: Simlympic Park location, home to the Repbulik Stadt Knights FC, developing sporting complexes
  • Sudfeld: "Sports City", town dominated with sporting complexes, such as the Olympica Tennis Center (Tennis), Sudfeld Imperial Stadium (Soccer, Track), Rotfeld Stadium (football).
  • Baden Stadt: Soccer prelims and baseball prelims.
  • Raumfield, Kaelville, Nachtsburg: Towns and city on the Tirn River, will be used for sailing.

Any final comments?
Yes. Please post HERE for comments, questions, concerns. Thank you!

Q&A-Country
My country that I am bidding with is the Tirnreich. The Tirnreich is situated on the former tri-border area of Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

The Tirnreich has mostly Germanic origins, but with former Polish and Czech territories in the Tirnreich, it is not the only influence on culture. The capital district's cities are mainly styled after America, however, as the Tirnreich got a fresh start after almost total destruction in WWII.

The population of the Tirnreich, as taken in a 2009 estimate, is 9.4 million.

The Tirnreich is a developing country, and a modern center for economics. Baden Stadt is currently the trading capital of the Tirnreich, with the Stock Exchange being among the glistening high rises.

Lastly, the Tirnreich has been a member of the Alliance of Independent Nations since October of 2009. It is active in several sports leagues both in-union and on SimSports, and participates in almost every union event.

For more info on the country, visit the AIN wiki here: Wiki Page
For more detailed presentations of the Tirnreich, visit the CJ section here: AIN CJ section

This will be the place to follow my bid for the 2011 Summer Simlympics.

Here are my prelim photos:

This picture is already outdated, but it's a general preview of what's to come.

View of the Simlympic Stadium. (Currently Republik Stadium) It is adorned with the Tirnreich flag in the center, and "Tirnreich 2011" near the goals.

This is only the roughest of rough drafts, so expect to see a weekly update of my bid here.

I'm here to take you on a journey, that will twist the fabric of reality
Lord Blackwood couldn't have said it any better.

Panoramic View of Republik Stadt

Post by Liberater444 on Fri Jul 23, 2010 5:39 pm

As build v1.0 of Republik Stadt, my main Simlympic city, nears its completion, I thought to get a panoramic view of the entire city tile. The city is mostly finished, with only a small quadrant left to develop. Here is my city, in stunning detail, ('cept in some parts) as it was 2 days ago:

The BIG Picture

Unfortunately, due to the size of the file, no hosting site can host the actual image, so you're going to have to download it. Don't expect any viruses (I can't even really mod) but do expect 40mb to be taken up.

I just ask that you view it, give me any feedback, and, if you want, delete the image.

Thank You!

PS: This will be the last real update for 4 days, as I'm leaving for a retreat.

Here is the latest composite of Republik Stadt. This very well be the final build of the city, give or take some touch ups, and filling in some of those empty spaces still lingering about.
