General questions Empty General questions

Post by emperordaniel Mon Mar 14, 2011 2:21 am

From now on, I'll be using this thread for general questions I have about custom content and SC4 in general. This way, with (potential) feedback from many different people, I will be able to improve my cities so that I can show more cities than just capitals and palaces.

My first two questions are

1: How do you get specific custom content buildings (especially residential) to grow in your city?

2: Do you know of any good ploppable residential buildings?

3: What are some seawalls you would suggest?

I'd really like your feedback Smile

I would use a radical growth mod; it increased the desirability of your city fivefold. It really speeds up the growth of medium to high density as well.

2: Do you know of any good ploppable residential buildings?
Actually, there isn't such a thing as a plop residential building Wink BATers and players alike have realized that plop residential buildings will abandon in a few game months. I use the buildingplop cheat code (you have to donwload "extracheats" from SC4Devotion to activate it) to plop a residential building ON TOP OF one that has already grown on its own.

3: What are some seawalls you would suggest?
JBSimbo and Jeronij have some good ones Smile

Thanks! Could you possibly link me to them, or if you can't find the links, could you tell me where to find them?

I'm especially interested in this:

just type in "extracheats" in the LEX search.....

and for the walls, power-search "Jeronij" in the LEX or JBSimbo on Simtrop

Ok, so my next question is:

After you remove the sea with "setsealevel", how do you make it come back?
