VICTORIA TO LOOK INTO SIMLYMPIC BID

Victoria city counsel has voted tonight to enter into a feasibility study into a possible Simlympic bid sometime in 2011. Mayor John Fox, long supporter of a Simlympic bid from Victoria says one hundred thousand dollars will be put into the study, and that the study should be completed sometime in April.
Federal sports minister Allan Ignatief said a possible Victoria Simlympic games would have federal support in current economic conditions. "I think it's a fantastic idea" "Federal funding would be available threw the Economic Action Plan if Victoria where to be awarded the games."
Victoria was one of six host cities for the SUFA world cup of football which Venray hosted in 2010.

VICTORIA CITY COUNSEL APPROVES BID
March 31st 2011
VICTORIA-Venray
In a vote in Victoria City Counsel today the city has approved a proposal to enter the city into the bidding for the summer 2011 Simlympic games. The vote, which was unanimously positive, came after a report on a bid was released.
Mayor Fox says planning will commence immediately, and a logo and venue planning are already under way.

VICTORIA 2011 BID LOGO UNVEILED
April 6th 2011
VICTORIA-Venray
The president of Casanares was in Victoria today to meet with Prime Minister Goodfellow and with him he brought a gift. He presented to the Victoria 2011 Simlympic bid committee the official bid logo. Designed by JEB Designs based out of Santa Eufrasia, Casanares. The logo is based on aboriginal drawing of the ocean, as well as vibrant colours representing modern Venray.
