Wow! Amazing work in athletics Myon and Monash. I was wondering if we would see a sweep in the games, and we did!
Congrats to the winners!

No, a country can only enter one team into team sports unfortunately.

from the looks of it, if i spent all my 600+ points on one sport (let alone a team sport) i still wouldnt win a medal

Well most of the team sports haven't happened yet, and using PAS only increases your chances (Usually from about 2% to 8%, varying of course on the number of points entered and the number of points entered overall). As I'm sure many can attest to, entering points into a certain sport is by no means a guarantee that you'll take a medal.
We want PAS to allow nations to say which sports they have a higher chance of doing well in, not to decide flat out which sports they will win medals in. That would just take all the fun and competition out of the Simlympics.

But it would make it more realistic....
Gymnastics:
USA, Russia (or any former soviet nation), China
Swimming: USA, Australia
Baseball/Softball: USA
Table Tennis: China
Beach Volleyball: USA
its just kinda there are some things nations win over and over and go in expecting nothing less than gold but I guess there are just some things you cant do realism wise and maintain a competitive fun atmosphere here.
