Re: The Shalman Empire - The story of an Empire
Some news:
And an update: (one of my old ones, but i'm working on a new one!)
Well, today's update is dedicated to the most wealth area of the entire Empire: Aurorium. Aurorium is the government district of the capital city, Ylmeria. The name means "place of gold" from the Latin word for gold and the ending -um. Some pictures:
The Campus of the Imperial University, the most prestigious university in all the Empire!
The entire Aurorium area is sarounded by walls, build centuries ago.
The Imperial Ballroom, which hosts the annual Charleston Night.
The gardens in front of the Imperial Ballroom.
On your way to the Imperial Palace, you have to pass though this beautiful garden (called Gate Garden).
And when you reach the end - THERE IT IS!
The Imperial Palace of the Shalman Empire! Home to the Imperial Family! (its actually the buidling i have on my "update" and "reply" banners )
The back side of the Palace. You can also see Four Obelisk Plaza.
One of the four corners of the Imperial Grounds, which are sarounded by water.
An artificial island-park
The palace from above (sorry, cant fit the whole thing!)
A Deutorium, where the Shalmans used to worship their four gods.
Well, thats all for now, and stay tuned! Second Aurorium update to come soon!
LeLeOne - Thanks man
Petrovan Ambassador - Actually i think the currency looks a bit strage, but thanks anyway xD

Re: The Shalman Empire - The story of an Empire
The Imperial Ministry of Tourism has launched a tourist campaign for the Shalman Empire, and a series of posters were printed and posted in several cities, in and out of the COFR. Some of the posters:
(Yes, my presented pictures on my updates will look like that from now on )
And the news:
Slacker - thanks, I try to keep a storyline going with the other members of my union, the COFR

Re: The Shalman Empire - The story of an Empire
First of all... 200 POSTS!! YAY!!!
and now with the Update xD
Well, the long-awaited next update, Little Palace District, is finally here now that the Simlympics are over!
On the south side of the Little Palace District you can find high-rise commercial buildings. To get to the other side of the river, you must cross one of the many bridges.
The other side of the river is a very old district of Ylmeria, also referred to as the "Little Palace District".
To get there, you can also get on the elevated railway system, which then becomes a tram within the Little Palace District. The Train Building was named that way because the Elevated Rail goes through it. The lack of space forced the architects to create the Train Building.
Right next to the Train Building is the Quatre Saison Mall, a very small but famous mall because of the expensive clothing it sells.
Another famous feature of the Little Palace Hill is the Cathedral Hill, one of the few hills in Ylmeria, which is build basically on a series of flat islands over the Lake Capital.
Further up on Cathedral Hill is the Cathedral of Saint John, one of the few Christian (or any other Earth religions for that matter) churches in the Empire.
Another view of Cathedral Hill.
Going down the hill, you can see why this district is called the "Little Palace" District - the Summer Palace is located here.
Another view of the Summer palace.
Behind the palace are the Palace Gardens, which are open to the public at all times.
And just next to the Palace Gardens is the Tower of Ylmeria, one of Ylmeria's most important landmarks, built more than 500 years ago.
And some more views of the Tower of Ylmeria.
Right behind the Tower of Ylmeria are the canals that connect the Hypertrophy District (Alliana District) where the December Simlympic Athletics Complex is located, with the Little Palace District. Here, the need for space was so great that the architects had to improvise a set of underwater canals for the water to go through.
which eventually ends here!
Le Gare D'Alexandre is the Little Palace's most important suburban railway station.
And the use of the suburban railway is very common here!
After the decision of the COFR that the Shalman Empire was to keep the permanent Headquarters of the Confederacy, the government announced that part of the Palace Gardens would become the COFR Headquarter Grounds. The designs and the construction has not yet started.
And this is the Obelisk Bridge, another landmark of Little Palace.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed this journy to Little Palace, and here is a sneak peak of the next update: the Emperor Aldior Int'l Spaceport of Ylmeria!
ChampionM - thanks a lot! And yeah, bad indeed
