Laval the Capital of Marceau is formally bidding for the August Simlympics.Laval the second largest city in Marceau State and the 7th Largest in Rorysville.Laval is the Capital of Marceau State and is the Cultural hub of the Lakeshore Region.It's rich french history has built it into the city that it is it's modernistic stylings meet with the Beauty of the Lakeshore.Laval Survived Bombing raids and Naval bombardments during the War with Rorysville.Let's take a look at some of the Venue's for Laval 08

Capital Place will serve as the main Locationfor the Simlympics with the Opening and closing ceremonies taking place here

Downtown Laval will serve as a source of entertainment as well as a couple events

Laval's Capital District will Backdrop a few events

Lacroix County is just a short 40 minute Drive to the South of Laval and will hold the Mountain Bike Events as well as some of the Other events

Gaspe` is a half hour drive to the North of Laval and will serve as host to a few events including Canoe and All the Equestrian Events.

Nice bid Canuck . I really like Capital Stadium and the Mountain Bike path. Transport looks excellent too, thanks for the updated map too - great to see how the stations correlate with the venues.

Now we'll visit Ste. Etiene in the Suburbs of Laval home to Tennis preliminaries,and the Simlympic Athelets Village

Ste.Etiene was founded in 1892 as a small village it grew into an Industrial Centre in the Suburbs of the Capital of Marceau it was Destroyed and devesatted by Bombing Missions during the 1960's War with Rorysville it took nearly 30 years for this City to rebuild it'sself and lose it's Industrial feel the city is now a Centre of Shopping and home to Laval's Largest Marina it will host the Athletes Village and some of the Preliminary Tennis Matches.

The Bastille de Etiene is one of Marceau's oldest Fortifications it guards the Entrance into Laval Bay and saw many Fierce Battles during the 1890's the Bastille is actually 20 years older than the town of Ste.Etiene




The Ouest Docks are one of the Best Places to grab a bite to eat in all of Laval feturing 10 different Resturants and 2 Hotels and Dominion Square(Featuring a Memorial to all Marceau Forces and a Flag of Every State/Territory that Marceau has Forces Guarding) and State Plaza(Featuring a Flag of every State in Rorysville as well as the Rorysille National Flag)

the Lakeside Tennis Stadium is situated on the shore of Lac du Perry(Lake Perry) and right next to the Western Laval Ferry Terminal it will Host some of the Preliminary Tennis Matches

The Simlympic Atheletes Village is a short 10 minute Drive from the Simlympic Park and is located in Ste.Etiene the Athletes Village is 4 Massive Apartment towers that will hold the Athletes during the games post games the Towers will be sold to Residents for Apartments and at this moment 75% of the Apartments have been sold already.the Towers offer the Most Beautiful Views of Lac du Perry and of Laval.

LeLeOne-Thanks,The Other cities are integral in the Bid as Laval Proper(Main City) isn't nearly big enough to house an event liek the Simlympics involving the Lakeshore of Marceau State makes this bid that much better.And thanks I too like how those docks turned out and good luck to you as well.

Awesome! St Etiene looks beautiful, I thought at first it would play host to some of the water events but it won't which is surprising. I like the idea of having tennis stadiums in different areas, thats something I haven't seen before.

The night shots are great too, I see why you kept asking if I'd seen them yet . I especially like the blue-ish haze of the stadium in the second and third shots

The Marathon Route will take you from Ste.Etiene's Riverside Parkway all the way to the Capital dome in downtown Laval over a distance of 26.22 miles(49.195 Kilometers)

The route will cross the entrance to Laval Bay over the Bay Street West Bridge then turning East on Upper Capital Avenue before wrapping up at the Capital Dome Spectaors will be able to view the marathon along the sides of the streets that the route runs on and the day of the race the Streets that the route is on will be closed .Tempporary Bleachers will be set up on Capital Park at the Finish line for Stadium style seating.The Route will be marked with Logo Overlays on the Streets that the route will use the overlays are the same used in advertising and can with stand all the traffic use on them.
