Post by dljrfn2000 on Sat Aug 16, 2008 7:46 pm

NEWS FLASH AUGUST 16th 2007

President Michel Fischer today announced that the United States of Newsim England will present a bid for the October 2008 Simlympic games.

The port City of Delkon Forrest will be the bid for the games, with just over 90,000 residents the Delkon Forrest was a HUGE upset over favorites Simboston, and SimPortland from farther north. Situated in the region of RodeSim Island the Delkon Forrest has proudly boasted the New Simengland Navy and the international Head Quarters for Coca Cola in the city for some time and remains second only to SimPortland in environmental quality and the leader of environmental beauty as voted by the Simfield state journal in National capital Simfield. (located in the general vicinity of Springfield MA)

The National government has hired president Fischer's daughter Lauren Fischer as the head of the USNSE Simlympic committee and she will join mayor Alyson Delkon's Husband Thomas Delkon who is the head of the Delkon Forrest park and recreation department. The Multi Million Dollar department that covers the city and the park surrounding the city will be greatly involved in the October Games.

Building Commissioner Gordon Howe has sighted a minimum of 4 new venues will be built and 2 completely renovated on the inside to host the games. Along with over 2.3 million Dollars in renovations for the green and around the city.

Simlympic committee chair Lauren Fischer has announced the Olympic Logo will pay homage to the Delkon Forrest's rich Native American Tradition and will be released when the Simylympic Flame comes through the city.

Merry Christmas from the presidents desk, the Delkon Forrest simlympic committee has announced there logo for October 2008

The Symbol is the Olympic rings curled around themselves in a fashion to look like a drop of water has hit a flat water basin with the logo at the bottom. The Symbol dose resemble Native American logo's in the area's history.

USNSE Simlympic Promo Video 1

Hannah saves the USNSE Millions

Last night heavy winds and storm surge pounded the Delkon Forrest Coast as Tropical storm Hannah plowed through New England. Damage was minimal on land as a few older tree's gave way to the 60MPH gusts and 40MPH sustained winds. But the big story is in the harbor, the Delkon Forrest sits in a very shallow bay that is often filled with silt. Thanks to Hannah's storm surge that is no longer an issue. The storm's rip currents pulled millions of tons of silt and sand out of the bay and back toward the Atlantic. The plan was originally to manually remove the soot if the Delkon Forrest won the bid, more or less because it looks nicer than anything else. The project was expected to cost millions of Dollars and take a few weeks. Now the job is slated at only a few hundred thousand dollars and take a few days.

Damage to the simlympic park was minimal, as Delkon Forrest officials announced a slight change to the park to be released on September 7th around noon local time. Over all 3 people died due to tropical storm Hannah in the state of RI, and only 12 in the USNSE.

News: 10/17/08

The USNSE Olympic committee announces a possible suspension of the Delkon Forrest bid. Regrettably the Delkon Forrest Olympic bid has been soiled with profiteering and unlawful management. The USNSE Olympic Committee has announced an investigation of these issues with a possible disbanding of the Delkon Forrest bid. Right now they have listed the news as day to day pending investigation results.

NEWS 10/20

CHARGES DROPPED! DELKON FORREST BID REOPENED! Very Happy

USNSE Olympic Committee chairman announced that an investigation into the Delkon Forrest bid showed no wrong doing by the members in charge and charges were latter dropped and admitted to be false by the accusing party.

(In reality what happened, I signed on the computer that has sim city 4 on it, which is not mine and sim city 4 and all my files were gone and my background changed after I got a warning message saying that I could not access my account. Today I logged in and everything was back to normal thank god and my city is almost finished I did more work on the region and I will be releasing some new pictures of Kingsport University and USNSE Power Co. Field soon)

*******************************************************************************************

Ok so the Delkon Forrest Olympic bid has made a few minor changes

1st we darkened the watter for some more realistic features here is an updated region view

some notes of things to be updated even more

The forestry at the far right of the screen about half way up is going to be changed into a 27 hole golf course twice the size of the one currently housed in Downtown Delkon Forrest.

The Farming area in the center of the screen is going to be scaled down a bit for more Forrest and grassland.

The land to the right of the airport (on the shore) will be forested and developed in to low density residential.

The area around the equestrian stadium (its a little green dot just below the airport) will be landscaped similar to Kingsport University Stadium, and Sears Field (Soccer&Rugby respectively) both noticeable by the reflection pools infront of them both in the bottom right eighth of the picture. Sears Field is the one with the track next to the Gateway arch. And the Kingsport University stadium is the white one at the extreme bottom of the picture.

Speaking of Kingsport University-

here is the main campus I apologize for the low quality but it was a nice nite photo which I have none of the things I want to point out though are noticeable.

The current delkon Forrest Simlympic Green will be restructured. Paths will be similar to these sandstone paths and will include more tree's (surprise lol)

very nice looking simlympic park I like the stands idea for sailing it's kinda along the lines of what I was thinking of doing for Laval. You may however want to find a new use for the T-O-W venue as it'll likely be dropped from the Simlympic Sports

Amazing dljrfn Very Happy. Great choice of stadiums, except the Athletics stadium... which I think may be a bit small, but apart from that really good work!
