torch relay | day seven | insulo

Welcome to Insulo for leg seven of the Simlympic Torch Relay for the XIII Simlympiad in Chihiro, Petrova. The leg travels through the eastern portion of Insulo, in the Scio and Erikkson areas. People from all over the country have come to see the torch pass through Insulo for the first time.

The torch leaving the airport, early risers are rewarded by seeing the first torch runner, Insulonian tennis star Fernando Salazar. He will be participating in the Men's Singles at the Simlympics.

The torch passes the Michael Fiera Memorial Tennis Centre, part of the Vilhelmo Forgisto sports complex.



The torch passes through the city square, where many people have gathered to listen to live music from local musicians before the torch passes. Mayor of Scio, Peter Davis, will carry the torch from here to the Vilhelmo Forgisto University Quad.



The torch reaches the VFU main quad, where thousands of students from the university have gathered.



Later, the torch enters downtown Erikkson.



The torch arrives at the World Pavillion crowned by the new World Spire, just finished for the Erikkson 2011 Simlympic bid. Before the torch passed there was a concert featuring Lady Gaga, Eminem, Rhianna, Rush, The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Darius Rucker, and variuos Insulonian artists.



The torch returns to EIA, where a plane is waiting to carry it to New Chandler for the last leg of the relay. People have gathered to bid the torch farewell, and many may be waiting for their flight to New Chandler for the block party.



I hope you enjoyed my torch relay, Insulo's first international event. Sorry if it's a little late, I found some typos that needed to be fixed. Also, rest assured, no light rail trains were running when the relay passed through Scio.
