OK, I've updated the Æscgearding national coat of arms to make it more representative than the old one:

Quartered by a cross pattée argent fimbrated or, I gules three seaxes fesswise in pale proper (for Æsccynn); II azure a cross flory or (for Middansætna); III quartered gules and azure four roundels argent in lozenge (for the Sicambri); IV paly or and gules (for Norðengria); overall an escutcheon gules, in the chief two coronets or, in the base a wyvern or (for the Royal House of Æsc).

Bonus points if you can reproduce it before I post a picture! Razz

National Flag & Civil Ensign
The national flag of Æscgeard features the gold wyvern on red, a symbol of the ruling House of Æsc, together with a red crusader cross awarded by the Pope for participation in the the Crusades. It can be flown pretty much anywhere by anyone, and is also the flag of the merchant marine.

The state flag is derived from the coat of arms, and features the symbols of the four constituent regions of Æscgeard, a variation of the crusader cross, and the badge of the House of Æsc. It is flown from government buildings, from royal palaces when the King is in residence, and from royal or government ships.

War Flag
St. Cerdic's Flag is also the war flag of Æscgeard, and is restricted to use by the army (a gold saltire on red is also accepted as representing St. Cerdic, which can be flown by the general populace). The flag is also flown from government buildings when the country is in a state of war.

Also got the blazon for my coat of arms fully done:

The escutcheon is quartered by a cross pattée argent fimbrated or, gules three seaxes fesswise in pale proper; azure a cross flory or; quartered gules and azure four roundels argent in lozenge; paly or and gules; overall an escutcheon gules, in the chief two coronets or, in the base a wyvern or; surmounted by the Sigor Cynehelm. The escutcheon is surrounded first by the chain of the Order of Saint Michael and then by the chain of the Order of Saint Cerdic, together known as the Cynelic Háda, flanked by the medallions of the Order of Wihthelm and Order of Saint Mary. The supporters are two angels, acting as heralds to St. Cerdic, carrying a standard with the arms of St. Cerdic, and wearing a tabard with the same arms, standing on puffs of cloud. Above is a pavilion armoyé with the Sigor Cynehelm. From it is a royal red mantle with a semis of crosses argent. The motto "FORÞRYNE TÓ WULDOR" ("Onward to Glory") is written in white on a red ribbon.

Emnet was originally an outpost of the Iutes, the majority of whom settled in Sæbeorg, but the petty-kingdom quickly came under siege from Norðengria, and was finally absorbed into Middansætna. The flag shows the blue sky and green earth under the bright sun, indicative of Old Emnet, which was much larger than the current province.

The descendents of the Sicambri and Dæccans haven't really seen eye-to-eye since. The flag acknowledges this by displaying the red Sicambrian and white Dæccan dragons together.

Middansætna long contested the dominance of southern Arthuria with Æsccynn, and was the greater part of the kingdom when the two were joined in personal union in 1029. The northernmost properly Cimbric region, Norðanweard's precursor petty-kingdom, Norðengria, spent much of its history fighting off Curths from the north, Arthins from the west, and Varings from the east, and in their spare time they repeatedly invaded southern neighbours Emnet. Eventually the southern kingdoms had enough, and Middansætna conquered the land in 905 to stop the Varings from taking it first. The red and gold stripes of the flag date back to the early Norðengrian battle flags.

Even so, the Kingslands remained poorly defined until being constituted as a formal Province on the kingdom's 500th anniversary in 1851. The flag is quartered in the red and blue of Æsccynn and Middansætna, the two petty-kingdoms that formed modern Æscgeard, with three seaxes representing the city's three main eras - roman Troiianum, arthish Caertroia, and cimbric Mereburg/Witanceaster.
