The ISC Wants You!
The ISC decided to expand its member list to 11 members, so we're recruiting three more members, if you want to be a member of the exclusive club and help us decide on simlympic issues and contribute more to the community, sign up here.
Members are expected to put time in the ISC and contribute something to the ISC and not just voting on the next host for the Simlympic.
Any member who wants to bid for a position, please list your resume, CJ if you have one (not required to have one), list any skill you have, or comment on what you would do or why you want to be on the ISC. A simple "I'll bid" won't do.
Thanks.

Re: The ISC Wants You!
I defiantly want in, my CJ is here (and more frequently updated on the AIN site)
As for my resume to join the ISC
-The point system and the increased number of events was a plan I submitted to the ISC, the modern Simlympics was my idea
-I've been a bidder in the October games, and I was going to make a run at the first winter games but time restraints hurt me
-I have been an avid poster on the discussion of what makes a good simlympic green and I think my idea's are consistent with the simlympics goals to be more realistic with each passing game.

Cheers Kumba, we're being more open this time as our previous more private selection process seemed to ruffle a few feathers last time.
Thanks for the application dljfrn .

Re: The ISC Wants You!
I would like to apply.
Resume
About me:
-I am very active at Simsports, AIN, and Simtropolis. I look each of the sites about three times every hour. I have RSS on my iTouch to see new updates and posts on all three sites.
-I have been a member since August and hasn't been inactive since(atleast i think)
-I am very flexible, so I can do pretty much anything for the community
-I tend to revive "dead" threads such as the forum games.
Experiences:
-had bidded for the december games
-has contributed to simlympic discussions
-has successfully hosted the first AIN Summit
-hosted Petrolympics, and the Miss SimUniverse Competition
-I think I was the one to introduce the detailed scores at the winter simlympics as seen from the December Petrolympics (But if someone had thought of the idea before november 2008, then please correct me)
And it has been a dream of mine to be a part of an international committee like the IOC or the ISC

Re: The ISC Wants You!
Resume
- I'm a very active member of SimSports, checking it at least 3 times a day
- I try to be nice and helpful with the members
- I've bidded for the December Games
- I have the experience of hosting the AIN Games, which is similar to the Simlympics
- I suggested the adding of more events, though it isn't my merit that they've been added

One question : What can an ISC member do, except voting for the host ?

Re: The ISC Wants You!
Thanks for the applications guys.
Good question Matt. One thing which I really must stress is that I'm transitioning the ISC from being just a group of people that meet up every few months to being the group of people that actually run the Simlympics. So for instance, knarfmo is heading up research and development; looking into ways to improve the Simlympics, through new sports and the like.
Every ISC member currently has a role, and the new members will get their own role too, examples of current roles 'Head of R&D', 'ISC-Host Liasion', 'Head of Promotion' etc etc. Hope that helps .

Vote Joe! Vote 90!
OK I'll throw my cat amongst the pigeons
Let me see now...
Vote for Me! because:
I like the number 11
The wee olympic ring symbol looks cool. I want one!
I'm the 15th highest poster around here, so I'm active enough.
I'm coming to get you, knarfmo!
I make things look gooood
B.R.S.G.E.; Simlympic banners; signatures & avatars of at least a dozen members here
I can identify flaws and provide feedback and solutions for various systems.
e.g. PAS fine-tuning.
I have already experienced Slacker's last-minute-itis, and beaten it.
All those Simlympic banners, sport headings, medals, results formatting etc. only took a couple of days.
I *haven't* bid/hosted any previous SimGames, which may be useful for a different perspective.
I have no Union affiliations/agendas.
I have a CJ, Greater Arthuria, which mitsos really likes.

The crippling affliction that is homework is well and truly behind me.
Thank god!
I run the SLB.
A slick operation, if I do say so myself!
I have seven years experience running online fantasy comps.
Good god thats a long time!
I have a Trixie for running sports comps.
Not trying to rub it in canuck! Really!!
I'm a real-life Project Manager, so stuff gets done when I'm around.

Re: The ISC Wants You!
Ladies and Gents, brace yourselfs, for I am to bid for the ISC position!
So, here's my resume, curriculum vitae, CV or whatever you want to call it:
-I am very contributing member of the COFR (Confederacy of Free Regions)
-I was elected to the position of Chancellor within the COFR
-I have since then helped to run everything smoothly
-I had successfully bidded for the December 2008 Simlympic Games which I like to believe turned out as a success
-I have been a member since the August Simlympics
-I have created the Olympic Rings prop which can be found in the news section [there are more to come, if you get me in the ISC of course - j/k xD)
-I go to the IB which means I don't have much spare time but I do spend at least an hour a day on the PC looking over posts and replying on either COFR or Simsports.
-I am Greek, and Greeks invented the Olympics. Thus, we have it in us xD
Well, I hope that you do actually accept me in the ISC

Re: The ISC Wants You!
I really want to bid...
Firstly i'm irish - well Northern Irish (that's gotta count)
and then there is this...
> I have been a member of Simsports since July 2008 (I think - maybe August)
> I am an active member/admin of the COFR
> In January Elections i have been elected as First Minster of the COFR
> I was bidding for the April Simlympics but my game disc is snapped in half so that's on hold.
> I try my best to be active on Simsports and COFR daily (except when on holiday and christmas day)
> I am currently working on getting the first ever COFR cricket season up and running (got exams atm and cwk so that is slightly delayed)
> I am there when ill say ill be there except in exceptional circumstances (like when my dad's car broke down on our way to my little bro's birth)
> I am currently chairman of a joint sporting venture between the COFR and SU - The Inter-Union Games, the first games will be held in April.
> I have a top 20 post count here (proves my activity)
> I am a sports-lover - I do football, rugby, cricket (school), golf, shot-put (school), javelin (school), swimming (well i stopped - too much training, too little time), taekwondo oh and i want to do rowing. I also am doing Duke of Ed (if that counts), hit the gym once a week and love cycling (only in summer).
> I am incredibly helpful and a fast-learner - gve me something to do, tell me how to do it once and it's done on time, every time.
> My main weakness is my typing (i can actually spell)
