Teaser Image of the area near the hotel where the ISC will stay. As you can see, I am still working on the stuff left of the avenue.

Re: Winchester/Roseburgh, New Chandler
The cities of Roseburgh and Winchester in New Chandler are suburbs to the north of the gigantic New Chandler city, and are very suitable locations for the ISC's next meeting, where they will decide who of several contending nations will host the sim-world's largest sporting event.
Within Roseburgh is Transcendenta International Airport, New Chandler's largest airport. New Chandler Airways operates flights daily to four continents through this airport. Roseburgh is home to the Northern Authority Bus Department's main hub of operations, one of New Chandler's largest national charter bus services.
Winchester and Roseburgh are served by seven of the fourteen New Chandler Metro lines. The Metro is one of the most expansive and most traveled subway systems on the planet.
The session would be held at the newly constructed Roseburgh Convention Center. This location is ideal for the session because it is very comfortable, very modern, and very spacious, so the media can fit with ease.
After the session, the ISC would be took on a helicopter tour around the city during the night, and then to their hotel, the Fairfax. This hotel is one of the nicest in the country, and the location is beautiful. It is very popular with celebrities.
Here are some pictures of what we have just talked about.

Re: Winchester/Roseburgh, New Chandler
Thanks a lot, I am glad you like it (do you want the convention center?) I still have a lot of work though on the city, especially Roseburgh, hopefully I can get some newer pictures in soon. :)

Re: Winchester/Roseburgh, New Chandler
It should be noted that if New Chandler was selected, the planning committee has planned for Styx, Journey, and REO Speedwagon to perform at the Winchester Garden Arena downtown as a post celebration. It would then be followed by a firework show. But what is Downtown Winchester and the Garden? Take a peek.
Some of these pictures have some black spots in them. These aren't teasers, they are just unzoned land that would otherwise ruin the picture.
I have increased Winchester's population by a TON over the past three days. Thought I would show you what I have done.
Enough talk, check it out, and comment even if this sucks!
Just for fun, the RHW "interchange from hell" that took me forever to build but is fully functional! This is a meeting between two very important throughways in New Chandler, the Federal Road (FR) 43 and the 612.
:)

Re: Winchester/Roseburgh, New Chandler
I must agree. I have realized that when one of us uploads pictures, the other follows a day later Hopefully there will actually be a session, there aren't too many Simlympic bids Oh well

Re: Winchester/Roseburgh, New Chandler
I am not quite done with the real big city of New Chandler yet (it is a city named after the country). However I am building it off of a big subway system (I just got back from NYC and Wash. DC, so...) and I thought I would show you the line (the "C" line) that hits nearly all of the points of the ISC session the committee has planned. (this line is straight for space reasons, it takes a 90 degree turn near the Justice Center Station. the stations are also NOT to scale).
Airport - "Transcendenta" (very little walking)
Convention Center - "Pelham Avenue" (Conv. Center is about a 5-10 minute walk)
Hotel - "Embarcadero Avenue" (Fairfax Hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk)
Arena - "South Winchester/Winchester Garden" (very little walking)
Here is the picture (TC is Transit or Transfer station. Means a lot of buses and/or subway lines serve the station (BTW, the left side of the river is Roseburgh, the right Winchester. Also north is up)
A guide (not exactly a map, as said, I am not done yet) showing all of the lines in each city and suburb should be postedby the end of the day (GMT -.
