Shalman Imperial Dependency of Salonique - Salonique 2009

Salonique is the Shalman Commonwealth's (Host of the December '08 Simlympics) dependency on the planet Earth. It is situated north of Greece, south of FYR Macedonia and Bulgaria and west of the Kenoshan Federation. Salonique has a continuous history of about 2,000 years, since it was founded by King Casander of Macedon. It became a Shalman dependency after the Balkan Wars. Salonique has a population of about 2 million inhabitants.




The Salonique Simlympic Committee believes that the perfect spot for the opening ceremonies would be 'King Alexander the Great' stadium, which was rebuilt during the reign of Roman Emperor Galerius, along with his palace in the city. The Committee has proposed the renovation of the Stadium and plans are already being made:

Nice stadium too, although, like what peter said, it kinda resemble the panathinaiko (sorry if I spelled it wrongly) stadium but with added stuff (roof, entrance).

BTW All ancient stadiums have the same shape, so yeah

well not the coloseum it has a circular shape as do a few other roman stadiums lol

I guess I really have to read about european history. Stupid singaporean government only let us learn about WW1, WW2 and Cold War.

Actually the Coloseum is oval, not circular. But the Coloseum is Roman architecture, my stadium is Greek architecture xD

nice stadium phill but i think you should go more modern. if you are able to use bat then try to make something ''gorgeous''.

Description and explanation:
The logo was inspired by the Greek letter Theta (È, è) which is the first letter in the Greek word for 'Salonique', which is Thessaloniki.
