Simlympic Torch Relay Day 2: Chihiro, Petrova
Komosti and welcome back for the second leg of the relay here at the center of Eastern Europe, Chihiro, Petrova! The torch is now coming to the city that hosted the 11th ISC Session which gave Hinawa the rights to host the games! Everyone here is so excited and let's get down to the action!
The main venue for the torch relay in Petrova is the Relay Pavillion at the International Village, Chihiro. So to prepare for the festivities today, King Matthias ordered a P60,000 temporary relay pavillion to be constructed on top of the International Village Lake with a capacity of 1,000. The International Village was chosen as the main venue since the Int'l Village is one of the main landmarks and tourist spots of the city. The relay of the biggest and most exciting games yet truly deserves a place full of excitement, joy, celebration and unity. International Village and Chihiro as a whole will be providing this kind of environment for today's leg of the relay as the streets of the city are filled with festivities.
The torch will be coming from the west, Rorysville. Due to several storms in the Atlantic Ocean, the airplane was delayed for about 3 hours and was unable to land in time in Petrova. So the King made a smart decision to intercept the airplane carrying the torch using a private helicopter so that the torch can quickly make its way to the starting venue: the Grapotsch Palace. Finally, at noon, the helicopter manages to land in the palace full of a huge crowd. The chosen holders of the relay are famous Petrovar athletes. Out of the helicopter comes Billy Ileshenko, a famous Petrovar gymnast who placed 1st place at the June Petrolympics. He will be going to Seto to represent Petrova in gymnastics.
We are now at the Rivadeniera Avenue, where Petrovar Athlete Michelle Ansoi is currently holding the torch. She placed silver in swimming at the June Petrolympics and will be competing in Seto. She then passes it on to Natascia Viuvoda, who placed gold in swimming at the Petrolympics and will also be competing in Seto.
We now arrive at the International Village and begin from the northeast entrance at the African Village. Dilek Mendrejová is currently holding the torch. He placed gold at the 100 m in the Petrolympics, however he will not be going to Seto due to a surgery he will be undergoing in a couple of days. He then passes it on to Marianne Kιzιltuğ, who placed gold in equestrian at the Petrolympics.
Marianne then passes the torch to Danielle Aleveroushka, Miss Petrova-AIN 2009. She placed silver in the 300m at the Petrolympics, however she will not be competing in Seto due to her training for the Miss AIN Pageant, but she will be attending the games. We now approach the European Village as Danielle passes the torch to Elisa Fontana, Miss Petrova-Universe 2008. She placed gold in archery and will be competing in Seto.
We now reach the other side of the International Village Complex to the Americas and the Sports Village. Gustavo Longardi is holding the torch. He is in the Petrova Football Team that will be competing in the Seto Games. He then passes it on to Ishkarpo Malakar who is in the Petrova Field Hockey Team competing in the Seto Games.
The torch relay now reaches the Relay Pavillion at the lake. Anthoni Blanco, placed gold in Judo and will be competing in Seto, passes the torch on to the Royal Princess, Her Royal Princess Alicia Petravo. She then passes the torch to her mom, the Queen of Petrova, HSH Queen Katarina, who in turn passes the torch to the King of Petrova, HSH King Matthias. He then pulls out another torch, a custom made Royal Torch of Petrova and lights that with the fire from Raffore Islands. King Matthias then walks to the center of the pavillion to the relay cauldron. He then throws the Royal Torch up and suddenly the cauldron lights up and the crowd goes wild! The King then makes a short speech.
Fireworks erupted above the calm Chihiro skies, with the fireworks reflecting in the lake below. From the heart of Petrova, this is Peter saying good night and we hope to see you all in Hinawa, Seto for the X Simlympiad!Good evening everyone. It has been a pleasure for us Petrovars to host the second stretch of the relay. This is definitely a special event that we Petrovars look forward to every simlympic games. We bid all the athletes of the world good luck and bid Hinawa good luck to a simlympics that will be in our memories forever. We hope someday that Petrova will get to host the simlympic games, but for now, we can't wait for what Hinawa has to show!
