Re: Bidding window is now open!
Just A little something I Wanted to say.
If you ARE bidding, Please do us all a favor and not comment other peoples bids. You can feel the animosity and ankle cutting in the air when i read all of the comments ESPECIALLY from other bidders. Common Curiosity please and keep in mid the Spirit of good sportsmanship.
Good luck to all the Bidders!

I don't think there's been any animosity between bidders...at least not that I've noticed =/

Re: Bidding window is now open!
I've always found SimSports to be a particularly friendly place, with nothing more than constructive criticism I guess though, sometimes people can come across like there might be something snide in comments, but I don't think that there actually is...at least I hope not

Re: Bidding window is now open!
I haven't personally noticed any animosity between bidders comments and I think it's fine for bidders to give each other constructive criticism. We will of course be keeping an eye on the situation to ensure no animosity does occur. But as Jcool said, common courtesy and sportsmanship should be maintained at all times.
I did however notice something rather unsavoury going on with the reputation system, and have therefore temporarily removed reputation.

I was wondering what the deal with that was...how does that actually work? I just noticed a half red bar beside some of my comments

Re: Bidding window is now open!
The idea was that if someone does something helpful, or posts a really good thread/post then you could press the + button to give them negative reputation (Therefore turning the bar green). And conversely, if someone did something unhelpful you could give them negative reputation.
It also kept a track of your cumulative reputation in your profile as a number.

Re: Bidding window is now open!
What are you trying to say?
Your english is pretty hard to understand.
Do you mean you want more stadium batted by the Simlympic bat team? And I don't even know what you're trying to say about your city.

Re: Bidding window is now open!
No. I think he's trying to say that people need to show more stadiums in their bids, not only their cities.Kumba wrote:Do you mean you want more stadium batted by the Simlympic bat team? And I don't even know what you're trying to say about your city.

Oh.... I see....
Should've worded that a bit better, now I understand it a bit better, thanks. I guess you can be our translator for him
Yeah was wondering what that had to do with a "Bidding is Open" thread was a bit confused by that.
Thanks again.

He just missed one word. It was understandable enough for me . And I guess it wasn't really off-topic...

Re: Bidding window is now open!
I think he's looking for more pictures of venues not more BAT's
and in my opinion I like to see more than the venues as a Simlympics is more than sports it's a refelction on a whole city.Much like the Olympics it's a chance for a city to shine not a stadium to shine.

Nicely said Canuck
Besides, there's weeks left I'm sure everyone will have plenty of venues posted in due time

Re: Bidding window is now open!
yes i missed the see sorry. but really it's kinda important to see some stadiums. no matter how nice a city is if there are no stadiums.... no place to hold the games
