Gorsuch Bid Empty Gorsuch Bid

Post by Melbourne Sat Jul 26, 2008 2:56 pm

The city of Gorsuch is proud to announce a formal bid for the December Simlympics(or what everone comes first). Housed on the lowland floodplains of the Gorring River beside the idyllic Hepburn Bay with Scotion Mountains to the east.

This bid is going to bring great change to the city and a view of development will be provided.

After long a heated debate here are the three finalist logos.
Gorsuch Bid Gorsuc10
Gorsuch Bid Gorsuc11
Gorsuch Bid Gorsuc12

The bottom 2 logos are the front runners. They represent people coming together. The 5 colours coming together from different parts.

I agree with Craig. Remove the background writing and that'd be a great logo.

I just dont like how the rings are squished at the bottom I probably shouldn't be talking because my logo distorts the rings but thats the only thing I would change

Here is the future site of Simlympic Park and City ParkGorsuch Bid Torwel11 This site has been chosen as it is a rather dilapidated zone of the city and needs gentrification. An added benefit is that it will encourage economic growth around it and as such relieve some of the pressure suffered by the main economic districts.

Gorsuch Bid Simlym10 The red is the island that is going to be turned into an island. The blue is a monorail rail to be built. Yellow is the highway extension and the green is the Simlympic Park. There are also subway lines to be extended

Here are some preliminary photos of the city. None of them are 100% finished and as such the completed photos will arrive as soon as possible.

Gorsuch Bid Torwel13
Preliminary Simlympic Park: Might be a few alterations with the Kashima Temporary Stadium not in a definite position. It may be moved to another location.
Gorsuch Bid Torwel14
The Simlympic Tennis Centre with world class facilities
Gorsuch Bid Torwel15
City Park: Former location of the International Airport and run-down industrial zone.
Gorsuch Bid Torwel16
Hamilton Square - The central location of the city where those unlucky enough not to get into a stadium will be able to watch on large screens, if the bid is successful.

The Federal Government of Victoria has announced that no ticket shall be over $50 VCD (Victorian Dollar) so $45 US. This cut price is to enable fairness to all people so not just the middle and upper classes can enjoy the atmosphere of full cheering stadiums. This will be funded from the surplas tax revenue from the previous financial year.

The city of Gorsuch and its Gorsuchien inhabitants are embarking on the annual summer fiesta. This involves the largest street party in the world followed by a month of holidays. As such the progress of this bid is going to pause and the government, citizens and bid organisation all go out to party and holiday!

Here are some photos from the event
