Re: Seiville
Hello Loyal Readers of Seiville
As you just read the township of Seiville is in a little bit of debt about $1700. The township is now just 6 farms that were all built by there current owners and materials from the area (wood, clay brick etc.) were used to build the houses and the church/meating house. The only thing that is brought in from out of town is farming equipment, and seeds. All come relatively cheep and can be paid for with donations of crops to the equipment companies.
The township has decided to build a brick building for the hardware store due to the flammable material that will be stored in there. (Gasoline/oil) If the building were wood it could cause an even greater danger to the surrounding woods and the crops.
The town also doesn't have any money, and no means to print any money. And even if they did they have nothing to back the money up with. (ie. Gold)
So how does the township get money to pay for the hardware store? Open to ideas until the end of the week

Re: Seiville
The Statoil company (based in Aslow) would like to sponsor the town in paying the debt, with the agreement that Statoil be aloud to open a new gas station next to the store.

Considering this is taking place in around idk 1700 or so, I don't think it'd be applicable, pluss I want this to be sort of out of world affairs right now so it's gotta be an internal solution.

Re: Seiville
Maybe some taxes or a wealthy donor who could be granted a tract of land in the area
could also petition a local govener for a loan

Let it be shown that on Day 1 of Sim Month October the fifth town hall meating was called to order in the Catholic Church on high way 1 in the region of Red River.

First order of business-
Solution to construction and money problems. After a month of deliberation the council has decided to build a road creating an intersection at the south eastern corner of the hardware store and go west until it gets to the red river as shown below.
The wood gathered from the construction will provide wood for interior designs like flooring, counters and shelves. Clay from the river bed will be molded into bricks by Eric Nunez and used to build the building. Estimated construction time will be 2 months exterior, 1 month interior and construction is to begin immediately.
Second Order of Business-
The harvests from the 6 farms are in. The farmers have agreed to build a meating area on the opposite side of the intersection so that they can trade harvest and sell harvest to any travelers on route 1. The meating place will be up in 2 weeks time. To keep costs low we will just use chain link fence and just use a small plot of land. No formal buildings will be built.
