Congrats Tongolia and Auria! And yay a silver for Petrova
Re: DAY 2 - Equestrian, Shooting, Fencing, Sailing, Judo, Wightl
So close in the weightlifting... if you're doing 300.5 you wouldn't think an extra couple kilos would make much of a difference .
Awesome pics though Craig .

Congratulations to everyone that had medal.
I'm guessing why there are some regions that has two or even more representations on a same sport modality...

The same reason 100m in real life is dominated by Jamaica. If a country is really good at a sport, they'll have enough athletes to be able to send more than one competitor .

Re: DAY 2 - Equestrian, Shooting, Fencing, Sailing, Judo, Wightl
But for example Spore415 said that he didn't send the PAS and Auria has had gold and silver on weightlifting. How is that possible if there aren't any points?
And other thing, if the country is really good at a sport (I suppose that you know that by the points of the PAS), you give to each sportsman half the points that we have designated to that sport or twice the points?

Re: DAY 2 - Equestrian, Shooting, Fencing, Sailing, Judo, Wightl
PAS isn't mandatory. If someone submits their PAS then they decide which sports they're going to do best at. If they don't submit their PAS, then we just spread their points randomly across all the events.
The system works slightly differently than that. Imagine a cake is split into six pieces, numbered 1 to 6. 4 nations are competing, 2 are especially good at this sport; so they get two pieces of cake each. The other two aren't so good, so they only get one piece each. We then draw a random number between 1 and 6 to decide who won the event. Of course, the nations who have two bits of cake are more likely to win. We then draw a second random number to decide who comes second. There's a chance it could be the same nation that got the gold.
I hope my (awful) analogy helped explain the process a little .
