New Union

I need your help anyone! I'm thinking of starting a new Union, anyone know how? It's to be called the Union of Pacific Rim Nations(UPaRM).

No, seriously. I really want to make a new union, and I want some advice on how to do it.

You will need to get a few people to start it with you. Nobody joins a union with only one person in it

I'd like 2 join! What are the requirements?

Well, I've been thinking, and perhaps these could be the rules:

1.0; At least 8 km of coastline on the Pacific Ocean (1 large city tile is 4 km long)
2.0; Being either-
2.1; An autonomous province,
2.2; A dependency, or
2.3; An independent nation (of course )
3.0; Members that are already members of other unions are fine

Perhaps I will think of more later.

A lot of people are already in unions... the idea of unions began years and years ago And as I said, people will always prefer the bigger unions. You are going to have to work VERY hard just to get a member or so.

Also be persuasive to tell people the benefits of joining. For example, the COFR has many sport leagues ran by a trixie-winning staff (and yes, many of those are here too ). Thats just one example.

And remember, not everybody "likes" unions, per se. Many people just play SC4 (or CXL) to play SC4, not to get involved in the major role-play unions have.

Yeah, I learned first hand, It takes alot of work to start a union, my forum got 3 members, my union got me.

I'm going to be honest, your wasting your breath doing this. As I said, you need a LOT of people to start a union at this point in time. Perhaps you should try applying for a union instead? A lot of unions (especially the COFR) could use some fresh blood

EDIT: Emperador, just because you don't like the idea of a union doesn't mean you have a right to bash it. Respect people's ideas, even if they aren't likely to go to their intention

So many unions are out there, COFR, AIN, AFDES, etc...

Don't forget the grand-daddy of unions, the SCJU.

P.S. If your answer is the latter, please send me a link to each of the unions except AIN (I looked at their site, and decided that AIN didn't suit me )

my pick me was in reference to someone who does not really support the idea of unions and prefers just focusing on the game rather than outside roleplaying. sorry if there was confusion

ahh well... -shrug- learn something new every day I don't usually consider God Save the Queen the national anthem to the countries that did not completely sever ties to the crown but technically you are right
