College football is one thing I've never understood. I just don't see the point. I presume all the players are students, meaning the team will change every 3 years or so. And the standard must be quite a bit below the NFL, otherwise those guys would be playing for the big teams.

Just seems kinda strange to me.

actually You can't play in the NFL until 2 years after High School and this is where all the talent that the NFL gets comes from College Football is by far considered better than the NFL in alot of circles(simply since they don't get paid and the sheer emotion)

I prefer College most days over the NFL especially when it comes to the University of Michigan

ok...not to sound like a nerd, but to tell you guys the truth...I have no friggin idea how to play football. I get understand every sport except football.(So does that mean I'm not american? lol) I mean I dont get the rules and stuff and how to play it. I watched a couple of games, they're ok, but I dont get most of the stuff the commentators talk about. Can please anyone explain to me football? I'd appreciate it!

Dude I could teach a class on football, unfortunately it'd be a year long course, football unlike most sports is highly complex

and PS:

What Bowl are the Wolverines playing in this year? Who won the Paul Bunyan Trophy, who won the NCAA Hockey National Championship 2 years ago, when was the last time the Wolverines won an NCAA Basketball championship or any major sport national championship for that matter?

Ok here's where I'm going to say about you little sparty

Football
Come back and talk when you
win against Michigan 7 straight times
go to 40 Straight Bowl Games
have 40 Straight Winning Seasons
actually win a National Title
who has 11 National Titles?
it was a down year and when people like you come round acting like they're oh so much better it actually makes me wanna see MSU get the stuffing kicjked outta them 1 bad year in 40,by the way do I need to remind you of the Bobby Williams or John L. Smith Era's,and just you wait next year and the years after will be a whole different story as we'll have the players to play the new system(thats riht we didn't just change coaches we changed the whole System). You know I was happy for you all to have a good season and to see a good bowl game for once but again enough trolls have made it the opposite.

Hockey
Let's see how many CCHA Titles Michigan has won in the last decade and how many have State won?
who won the CCHA last season?
who has been to the Frozen four more in the last 5 years
who has been to the NCAA Tournament more?
who has 9 National Titles?

Basketball
ok I don't care about basketball in all forms so whatever but
how many Big Ten Titles have you won outright since 1999? MSU isn't exactly an elite program
and who Beat a top 5 program this year? oh thats right not you you got your asses handed to ya by UNC meanwhile we Beat DUKE,UCLA

so again how many national titles have MSU won?

oh and to answer the last time?
2005-Softball
1998-Hockey
1997-Football
so besides hockey when was Sparty's last National Championship in a sport other than Basketball?

4 Time Final 4 apearence mens
1 Time Final 4 Womens

We've won 8 Club Team National Championships

3 Womens Water Polo
1 Womenes Ice Hockey
1 Mens Ice Hockey

6 Club team runner up

Womens Cross Country National Championship

3 Big Ten Field Hockey Championships

2008 Big Ten Mens Soccer Regular Season Championship
2 Big Ten Tournament Soccer Championships

4 Big Ten Regular Season Titles Mens Basketball
2 Big Ten Tournament Titles

A Big Ten Regular Season Womens Basketball title
A Big Ten Tournament Womens Basketball title

4 CCHA Tournament titles

1 Mens Indoor Track title
3 Mens Golf Big Ten Titles
2 Womens Golf Big Ten Titles

2 Rowing Big Ten Titles

A Mens Tenis Big Ten Title

In the Past 10 years its been alll about Green

and as for beating major teams

MSU beat the number one ranked University of Minnesota in hockey in Minnesota

we lost to UNC and Maryland so what? If it werent for Tom Izzo Michigan wouldnt have even played Duke in the first place because Izzo started that whole tradition of playing big name teams early otherwise it'd be just like Football where you dont play anyone worth a darn until conference play. And even with your win you're still unranked and we're still 20th.

thats all fine and dandy but with all that said. As I stated I was happy for Sparty to have such a good season(even though they couldn't win the big games(OSU,PSU,Cal)). The Reason I said"was" is the fact that all I've heard is oh how bad you guys are you suck and what a joke....boy seems only yesterday that MSU's football team was a joke and sucked.....and also seemed only yesterday we were in position for BCS games. 1 I repeat 1 bad year in the past 40.
