Week 6 Round Up

Ok so I got really behind on this, but I've been studying for my GCSE's which are really important, so sorry guys Smile But here are the results for week 6 and the rest,

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week6

A low scoring but none the less interesting weekend, with very few unexpected results. Without further ado lets take a look at the table:

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week6-1

So it affects the table very little, but lets see how Week 7 panned out:

Week 7 Round Up

The race for the top 3 was really hotting up, so lets take a look at the results from the 30th of May:

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week7-1

So Riverbourne loses out which won't help their cause and we can examine its affect when looking at the table:

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week7

So RFC Airships managed to sneak into second after Kalama's bye, whilst the Magpies pull away even further and Rorysville slip even further down the table. How did this change going into week 8?

Week 8 Round Up

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week8

So, it was one of the most exciting weekends of the SSLR's inaugural season. Kalama lost out to the team who had replaced them last week, in an incredible game. Kalama were winning 14-10, with the clock at 0 and Airships in possession, the game would not end until play finished. Incredibly, RFC Airships managed to sneak in a try after a dazzling passing play from Airships' back line. Kalama will be bitterly disappointed, not content with a bonus point. The two Linktorian teams played each other with predictable results, whilst the biggest story of the weekend was that Western Marceau's 6 game winning streak that had left them unbeaten finally came to an end, with a defeat from a magnificent Riverbourne side who look like they will definitely challenge for a playoff spot in that magic top 3. There was also a bottom of the table scrap between RBV from Venray and Dawson Blizzard from Duwamish, home of the all greens. Lets see how all this affected the table:

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week8-1

So Kalama are shunted from the top 3, as Riverbourne leap into third place. RFC Airships are breathing all the more down the Magpies necks, now equal on points and only behind by Points Difference. So now lets look at the results that went on today.

Week 9 Round Up

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week9-1

Another interesting week, lets see how it affects the table:

Week 6, 7, 8 & 9 Results Week9

So the playoff race is really hotting up. But one now has to assume that its going to be a 5 horse race, between the teams sitting in the top 5 places to see who will take the SSLR crown. Join us next week for the supporters shield semi-final but also the hotly anticipated game between the Western Marceau Magpies and the Rorysville Highlanders, the two principal rugby union teams of Rorysville. Join us then and thanks for reading
