Re: Medal Tables
Basically its more trouble than its worth. Its a complete nightmare trying to keep track of who's in what union and what they're called and stuff. It seems to change almost weekly in some cases. Most of the feedback that something is wrong with medal tables relates to someone being assigned to the wrong union, and ultimately, it serves very little purpose.emperordaniel wrote:Just a question, what happened to the list of medals for the different unions, regions, et al.?
Again, If you hit "submit" before the deadline, I got it. Google docs collates all the submissions in a spreadsheet, so I have them all in one place.K50 Dude wrote:I want to ask the same thing. K50's is a slightly different story. There is something amiss in my spreadsheet which keeps moving your points around - I had to reset it three times before I locked everything off but it looks like some things have shifted again. Its only you and I have no idea why its happening unfortunately. At least all your points are still there, even if they aren't quite where you intended.

Re: Medal Tables
Sorry, but something must be wrong with these games. I sent the PAS and my country doesn't have any medal. I think the Unions table is fundamental for each union to see the group results.

Joe: Thanks for telling me at least maybe I can send a PAS and a PM so you can make sure it's all the way I want it next time. Or we can work something else out.

Re: Medal Tables
I'm interested to know why you think PAS entitles you to win medals. Putting more points in an event through PAS will only increase your chances of winning a medal in that event, not somehow guarantee you success. You could put a million points against an event and get eliminated in the first round - that's just how sport goes.miguelleal1 wrote:Sorry, but something must be wrong with these games. Besides, we're not even half way through yet, and naturally most of the medals are awarded towards the end.
And what good does knowing how many medals your union won do? From a union point of view its not measured or compared with anything, since they all operate in isolation, so if you're still interested you can add up the medals from your members, but there isn't any point in me doing it.
K50: It's not PAS, so don't worry. I know exactly how you wanted it, but something else is stuffing it up.

My Country appeared in the parade of countries at the opening ceremony, but never appeared anywhere else. I definitely sent in a PAS.

Re: Medal Tables
It's still early sepen. There is more than a week left of competition, and as Joe said, most medals just naturally come at the end.sepen77 wrote:My Country appeared in the parade of countries at the opening ceremony, but never appeared anywhere else. I definitely sent in a PAS.

Re: Medal Tables
As well sometimes you get eliminated in the prelims we don't show the full list of results otherwise we'd have way too many pages of results trust me if you saw your name and put in a PAS you are in.
PAS does not = automatic medals. I have time and time again in the past poured more points in than others in events and walked away empty handed. It happens it is the randomness of sport. As well as Joe said it is extremely hard to keep track of Who is in what union do you realise how many memebers switch unions at will. There are really only 2 people keeping track of all this and with the constant switching it makes it extremely difficult. As Joe said if it means that much to you then calculate it yourself. The most FUNDAMENTAL thing to the games is individual nations participating in sport for the FUN of it all.

Re: Medal Tables
Thats the sort of PAS behaviour I never got. By doing that, you basically make it so that you're heavily favoured in one event and not competing in the other 309. End result: 1 medal, at best. Chances of not winning anything: very high.K50 Dude wrote:Miguel: Remember that Peter put 950 points on football when he hosted the games, and didn't even qualify.
