Raffore City – The conflict in Malaysia has got worse yesterday on January 23 2009.

A clash between the Malaysian military and the East Malaysian rebels began late last night at around 10 pm. The clash begun went the Malaysian military sent its air force to blow up possible rebel hideouts. The Malaysian Naval Force then send military troops to East Malaysia to attack the rebels.

The rebels then attacked back by using its planes to bomb several military installations on Malaysia Peninsular. This brought up rumors of the military in East Malaysia siding with the rebels. As of press time, it is known that the military on Peninsular Malaysia is trying to reach its military bases on east Malaysia but are unable to call them.

East Malaysia wanted independence was due to the Malaysian government uncertainty.

Full evacuation of Changi City, Halus
Radiation levels get worse

Raffore City – Several areas of the Western state of Raffore Islands was given an full evacuation alert yesterday at January 23 2009 at around 6 pm as the radiation levels have nearly reached to the mainland.

Changi City and Halus were given the full evacuation alert together with Pasir Ris. All public transportation route travelling into these areas have been closed. Rasa R100 Pelicans are currently being used to pick up the pace of the evacuation. Several hotels on the Eastern and Central parts of Raffore Islands have been transformed to a evacuee shelter. Immediately after the full evacuation alert was displayed, massive traffic congestions took place within these areas.

From 6 am tomorrow onwards, all businesses in the areas mentioned will have to be temporary closed down. Due to the fact that Raffore City is a business district, it is estimated that about 80 000 people will be affected.

The radiation levels have grown rapidly last night and it is ready to reach to the areas currently being evacuated as on press time. According to the National Healthcare Authority and Raffore Space Authority, none of the classified radioactive decay was found on site but an unknown substances was found in the air at the radiation area. A sample of the unknown substances has been sent to the secret laboratory on Raffore Islands for further investigation.

Ever since the government recommended everyone on Raffore Islands to evacuate as soon as possible, a total of 140 000 citizens of Raffore Islands have evacuated from Raffore Islands with more than 65 000 people fleeing to Singapore. The number of tourist arrivals have also dropped significantly.

RSE falls after one month
Recent events on Raffore Islands is to blame

Raffore City – The Raffore Stock Exchange (RSE) has fallen more than 20% yesterday on January 20 2009 after the radiation detection on Raffore Islands.

The RSE has dropped by 24 % from 128 764 points to 97 861 points, RSE biggest drop since its independence on 1993.

The huge drop is due to the radiation that was detected on Ubin Island just off the northeastern coast of the mainland.

Raffore City – Ever since the radiation detection on January 20 2009, Raffore Stock Exchange (RSE) has lose 95% of its points from 128 764 points to 6438 points as on yesterday on January 23 2009.

Due to this massive drop, the government have temporary close down RSE to prevent further loss. So far, Raffore Islands’ economy has loss over ri$ 1.035 trillion (US$ 7.232 trillion), the biggest loss ever in the Raffore Islands’ history.

Analysis have claim that Raffore Islands, dubbed as the country that will never suffer from a global recession, is the latest country to be hit by the Earth Financial Crisis. The Raffore Islands government have already came up with a monetary package, worth a total of ri$ 4.8 trillion (US$ 33.6 trillion) to help companies and locals, especially the low income families and the needy, to cope with the global recession. According to the government, the monetary package was created when the Earth Financial Crisis started.

Friendship, TACR delayed
Global recession hits Risbon, MediaCorp Raffore Islands

Bukit Merah – Future programmes by one of the television network of Raffore Islands, Risbon, has been badly hit by the sudden tumble of the Raffore Stock Exchange (RSE) yesterday on January 20 2009.

From what The Rafforian Times know, Risbon has lost over ri$ 88.4 million (US$ 618 million) due to the tumble of the RSE. Because of this, over 250 television programmes for 2009 has to be delayed or shelved. Both the upcoming drama serial Friendship and the upcoming reality television game show The Amazing COFR Race were also affected as they were delayed.

Raffore Islands’ other television network, MediaCorp Raffore Islands, have loss ri$ 42.5 million (US$ 297 million) due to the tumble of the RSE and have also delayed or shelved over 100 programmes for 2009. MediaCorp’s division in Singapore, MediaCorp Singapore, did not suffer any loss from the tumble of RSE.

Raffore Islands gone for good?
No human left on Raffore Islands

Raffore City – A few days after the order for a countrywide evacuation, Raffore Islands is now deserted with no signs of human life except for a few groups of people investigating the spread of aranium.

The full countrywide evacuation began three days ago on January 28 2009 after the United Nations (UN) declared that Raffore Islands is to be immediately evacuation due to the spread of aranium.

According to the UN, the spread of aranium is alarming and, if the spread of aranium does not slows down, in a week time, Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia will contain traces of aranium in their airspace. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are now discussing whether to fully evacuate all ASEAN nations or not.

In addition, according to UN’s calculations, the whole earth will contains traces of aranium in the atmosphere in two months time.

Aranium is the latest element discovered on Earth. There has been reports of some unknown elements found near the now defunct Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and an unknown planet. This unknown elements has similar properties as aranium. It is currently unknown if aranium is radioactive or not.

East Malaysia freed
Malaysia losses Sabah, Sarawak

Raffore City – Eastern Malaysia has won in the clash between Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia yesterday on January 30 2009.

Now temporarily called the People’s Republic of West Borneo, both Sabah and Sarawak, the former states of the Federation of Malaysia, has now been separated from the Federation of Malaysia after 46 years under the Federation of Malaysia.

Despite losing Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi claims that East Malaysia is still under the Federation of Malaysia. “I will not allow those rebels to take away our land for their own use.”

So far, the Philippines, Indonesia and Bangorai’ are the only countries that recognized to independence of West Borneo. As of press time, Raffore Islands and the United Nations hasn’t make any decisions on the independence of West Borneo.

Economy meltdown
Economy on Raffore Islands’ worst hit in history

Raffore City – The Raffore Stock Exchange loses almost 40 000 points to close to 90 000 points. Cargo shipping trades to Raffore Islands has ceased. These could spell doom to Raffore Islands, but they has already spelled it out loud.

The recent spread of aranium a week ago did tons of damage to Raffore Islands’ economy, which was said to be the only economy in the world that will not suffer from any global recession. Raffore Islands’ economy recovery plan, the ri$ 4.8 trillion (US$ 33.6 trillion) Raffore Monetary Package (RMP), was even cancelled as the government agreed that activating the RMP now is the “wrong time”.

“I can’t see why should we activate (the RMP) now,” said Prime Minister Wee: “The whole of Raffore Islands is being evacuate and no company on Raffore Islands will open. If we activate it now, we would lose money instead. It is ri$ 5 trillion we’re talking about.”

Stocks worldwide tumble

Raffore City – After the United Nations ordered that all cargo trading with Raffore Islands, whether by air or sea, to cease on January 28 2009, stock markets worldwide tumble, with Raffore Islands’ trading partners being the worse affected.

Raffore Islands’ biggest Earth trading partner, the People’s Republic of China, was the worse hit on Earth, felling almost 25% to 1743 points. Singapore fell by 14% to 1503 points. Hong Kong loses 10% of its points to 11950 points. Bangkok, being heavily affected by the civilian protests last month, fell 30% to 307 points. Over in the West, London fell by 21% to 3279 points. In Paris, it fell by 30% to 2019 points. In the US, the Dow Jones Industries fell by 29% to 5681 points; Nasdaq fell by 25% to 1107 points; S&P 500 fell by 30% to 578 points.

For the members of the Confederacy of Free Regions (COFR), Scandia Union (SU) and Alliance of Independent Nations (AIN), their stocks also fell. Raffore Islands’ biggest space trading partner, Diesmaran Empire of COFR, fell by 34% to 4289 points. Shalman Empire of COFR, the nation that suffered the worse from the COFR Financial Crisis (and now recovering), fell by 54% to 2893 points. Hypertrophy of COFR fell by 20% to 4335 points; Aeris of SU fell by 9% to 2470 points; Petrova of AIN fell by 18% to 3030 points; Escambia of AIN fell by 7% to 2407 points.

Unstable future for Friendship, TACR
Risbon temporarily closes: production of Friendship, TACR affected

Bukit Merah – Due to the full evacuation of Raffore Islands, all businesses on Raffore Islands will have no choice but to temporarily close down. This included Raffore Islands’ major television networks, Risbon and MediaCorp Raffore Islands.

As Risbon have to temporarily close down, production for the currently delayed upcoming drama serial Friendship and the delayed The Amazing COFR Race (TACR) will also have to stop temporarily. As Friendship and TACR are the most anticipated shows, fans worldwide are sad to hear about the delayed for both of these shows.

“I really wish that these shows would air soon,” said Kenny, a fan of Friendship and TACR: “Too bad that the world events have deeply affected these shows.”

Production for Friendship alone cost ri$ 248 000 (US$ 935 000) while the production of TACR cost ri$ 1.2 million (US$ 4.5 million).

Scandia Union broke up
Only three members remain

Raffore City, February 6 2009 – Following a major dispute between the members of the Scandia Union (SU), the newest international union on earth has broken up yesterday, with four of its members broke off to other unions. The cause of the break up of the SU is disputability the singing contests happening in SU, Scandia Vision and Singasong.

Scandia Vision, modeled after the famous Eurovision, is SU’s own singing contest aimed to bring the current seven members of SU together. Another singing contest, the Singasong, is Confederacy of Free Region’s (COFR) singing contest. Originally allowed for COFR members only, the Singasong is an inter-union singing contest between COFR and SU following the alliance between the two nations.

However, despite Scandia Vision is SU’s own get-together contest, only two members of SU (Kenosha and Trimbelina) has entered the contest. On the other hand, COFR’s Singasong have six of its seven members entering the contest. The result of this has caused disappointment between the SU members and a debate began amongst the SU members. As the argument drags on, several of the members began to blame COFR for “controlling Scandia Union too much”.

Upon hearing that comment, COFR’s chancellor, the Shalman Empire, voiced out their opinion. From then onwards, all peaceful arguments turned nasty. Aeropoli has replied to Shalman’s statement by saying that “it…doesn’t gives you [Shalman Empire] the right to voice your opinion”.

Novland counter-attacked Aeropoli’s comment by stating “COFR is our friend and they [Shalman Empire] has the right to voice their opinion”. However, it got nasty when Novland said “if you [Novland] don't like it [COFR relationship with SU], I suggest you leave SU”.

After which, Aeris, Aeropoli and Novland left the SU while Parliamentralia, Trimbelina and Kenosha remain in SU. Parliamentralia later broke off from SU a few days later after a parliamentary vote. Rorysville’s, the newest member of the SU, status in the SU is unknown at press time.

Plants now don’t need carbon dioxide
Aranium abundant in plants

Raffore City, February 5 2009 – A few weeks ago, aranium has been considered very harmful and radioactive, which had caused the destruction of Raffore Islands and the whole galaxy in the brink of collapse. In fact, the whole world was in serious threat.

On a similar case, a special planet was found in our Milky Way by the Rasa Space Expedition team over a week ago on January 28 2009. The planet’s atmosphere contains around 34% of aranium gas. In addition, all type of flora found on that planet were shown to be growing healthily despite the lack of carbon dioxide.

Several plants were brought back to earth for further examinations, and these examinations showed that large amount of aranium gas were found circulating around the plants. All of the plants that has been brought back to earth have also showed that each of the plants have at least lived for over 9 000 years, longer than the oldest living plant on earth which is only over 5 000 years old.

Almost similar results have showed at several plants that were grown on Raffore Islands. All of the trees found on Changi City, Raffore Islands’ third largest city and one of the three business districts on Raffore Islands, have shown traces of large amount of aranium gas in their respiratory system; it barely contains any carbon dioxide gas in the respiratory system. Compared to the same species of plant without aranium, the plant that contain aranium appeared more healthier.

It is currently unknown if aranium have any impacts on fauna and humans.

7.5 earthquake rocks South East Asia
No damages reported, tsunami warning system activated

Raffore City, February 7 2009 – Yesterday, a 7.5 magnitude earthquake hits the South East Asian region with surprise, with its shockwaves can be felt from all around the world, as far away as Canada, Spain and South Africa.

The earthquake began at around 5.24 pm Raffore Time and lasted for about 20 seconds and, despite the dense intensity of the earthquake, no damages has been reported so far. However, as it has been reported that the epicenter is located at Raffore Islands, it is unknown whether there has been any damages on Raffore Islands due to the fact that the whole country has been evacuated.

As the magnitude of the earthquake is strong enough to cause a tsunami, the tsunami warning system within the region has been activated, prompting tsunami evacuation in Indonesia and Malaysia. Shockingly, the earthquake has also activated all tsunami warning system on earth, causing worldwide panic. However, all of the tsunami warning system has been deactivated as no tsunami has been spotted or reported.

More strangely, the epicenter of the earthquake is not located along a fault line: the nearest fault line is located about 850 m away from Raffore Islands. Due to this, there has been several fears that a near fault line has formed.

Another former SU member, Aeris, have been considering whether it should join COFR. A non-former SU member, West Borneo, have also been considering joining into COFR.

Stock market worldwide continue to tumble

Raffore City – For two straight weeks, stock markets all around the galaxy has been in the red, falling from 5% to as much as 98% per day.

The result of the massive drop came immediately after the Rafforian Government ended all cargo trades to Raffore Islands.

As of yesterday, the Inter-Monetary Fund (IMF) have calculated that Raffore Islands have suffered an extremely huge loss of US$ 960 trillion (ri$ 785 trillion), the biggest lost amongst all the nations in the Milky Way. In average, the Asian countries and all Confederacy of Free Regions (COFR) nations have suffered the worse hit.

In light of this, most stock markets on Asia have closed down to prevent further losses. The Western countries are not spared either: most European stock markets and minor US stock markets have closed down to prevent further losses. All African and South American stock markets have closed down.

In addition, Ankou Federation’s stock market, the only stock market that didn’t enter the red zone on the first day of decline, fell 64% to 948 points.

According to IMF’s calculations, the estimated loss of money from all of the earth nation total up to US$ 1 250 trillion (ri$ 992 trillion), which almost 80% of the money loss came from Raffore Islands.

Raffore City, February 12 2009 – Following the aranium’s positive effects on living organisms’ health, countries worldwide have dropped the evacuation alerts of all levels yesterday. People evacuated from Raffore Islands, Singapore and Malaysia have begun travelling back to their homeland.

After a few minutes after the report of the impact of aranium on human’s health, stock markets galaxy wide have begun to reopen and the stock prices have rose rapidly, regaining to their previous position prior to the aranium spread.

Raffore Islands, once deserted with human life, have now been packed with energetic activities. Cargo trading between Raffore Islands and the rest of the world have begun almost immediately. Normal flights travelling to and fro Raffore Islands recommences. Tourists began flocking back to the tourist magnet Raffore Islands. In Singapore and Malaysia, daily life began almost immediately after their population slowly come back to their respective countries.

Now four COFR nations recognizes West Borneo
Malaysia “losing out” in owning Sabah, Sarawak

Raffore City, February 11 2009 – After a secret meeting yesterday on Mae Suya, Kaibesia, four Confederacy of Free Regions (COFR) nations have joined the 47 countries which recognizes West Borneo.

During the secret meeting, Coulla, host nation Kaibesia and Raffore Islands were discussing the positive and negative impacts of recognizing West Borneo. Since the three COFR nations agreed that there will most likely be no harm in recognizing West Borneo, the three nations formally announces their decisions to the United Nations.

West Borneo consists of two former Malaysian states Sabah and Sarawak, both located on Borneo. Sabah and Sarawak have join forces and separated from the Federation of Malaysia on February 30 2009. Malaysia however, still claims that Sabah and Sarawak are still under the control of the Federation of Malaysia.

Companies and countries investing on Raffore Islands suffered heavy losses

Raffore City, February 13 2009 – Raffore Islands have announces yesterday that it may compensate companies and countries which invested on Raffore Islands a certain amount of money.

According to the Inter-Monetary Fund (IMF), US$ 1 250 trillion (ri$ 992 trillion) have been loss amongst all of the world’s nation altogether, with 80% of the losses comes from Raffore Islands. This means that all earth nations except Raffore Islands have lost US$250 trillion (ri$130 trillion).

With this in mind, the Rafforian Government will give money to these nations ranging from as low as US$1 billion (ri$520 million) to as high as US$25 billion (ri$13 million). For space nations, it will give from US$5 billion (ri$2.6 billion) to US$50 billion (US$26 billion). Money in Raffore Islands’ reserves will not be use to give these countries to help countries re-coup their losses.

According to the Rafforian Government, its main trading partner, Diesmaran Empire, will receive US$48 billion (ri$25 billion). On Earth, its main trading partner, the People’s Republic of China, will receive US$20 billion (ri$10.4 billion). Raffore Islands’ friend, Singapore, will receive US$5.6 billion (ri$2.9 billion). The United States of America will receive US$10.8 billion (ri$5.7 billion). The highest amount of money to be given is US$50 billion (ri$26 billion) to the Shalman Empire, while the lowest amount of money to be given is US$1.4 billion (ri$7.3 billion) to Palau. North Korea will be receiving US$4.5 billion (ri$2.3 billion).

Not all of the nations will receive “compensation” though. Vatican City State, West Borneo and several Oceania and Caribbean countries will not receive any money as its losses are minor. Kosovo and Montenegro will also not receive any money as the Rafforian Government have not recognized these two countries.

Starting from February 15 2009 till the end of February 2009, Raffore Islands will be giving money to these nations on Earth and in space. The nations receiving money do not have the rights to ask for more money. The Rafforian Government have also assure that all sectors of Raffore Islands will not be affected by this “compensation”.

Government to be Restructured
Prime Minister of Raffore Islands, James Wee, have announced yesterday that the Rafforian Government will undergo restructuring after concerns that there are too many ministries and authorities. The Parliamentary Discussion about this issue will begin today the Raffore Islands Parliament at 2.30 pm Singapore Standard Time.

Pulling Out of the Bids for IUG, AIN Games?
Following the decision of the Raffore Islands Government Restructuring Programme, several members of the Parliament have proposed that Raffore Islands should pull out its bids for the upcoming Second Inter-Union Games in July (Confederacy of Free Regions and Scandia Union) and the Second AIN Games in June (Alliance of Independent Nations) as there are concerns that the Government will not able to cope with three major events happening at the same time.
