Day five:

Day Five - Boxing and Table Tennis Boxing

An event expected to be dominated by New Rhodesia, as they had a clean sweep last time round. However, they did not perform up to their own high standards, Alexander Lewis went out in the first round - after being knocked out by the eventual runner-up Craig Winsk, it was such a blow that Alexander was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken jaw, we all wish him the best and hope he recovers soon. Nyhaven's Andre Dirrell dominated the event from the offset, but nearly lost out to the young and fearless Craig Winsk, but Andre's experience showed in the end and he took home the gold. The final noteable performance of this event was Ron Siler, an unlikely Simlympic medal winner - he grew up in one of the poorest districts of Manchester and was brought up around fierce gangs. But he rose above it, and is today known as one of Manchester's most loved Sportsman.

S: Corrinton - Craig Winsk
B: Manchester - Ron Siler

Thousands entered the arena as there was much hope that the highly-skilled competitor from New Dunstonville would take the event, and that he did. But he had to fight Manchester's Chris Ennis Jr all the way, who only just lost out from winning a medal in New Rhodesia. Also Capital City's "Ping Pong Pro's" performed very well, and were a truely deserved Bronze medalist. Well done to everyone.

S: Manchester - Chris Ennis Jr
B: Capital City - The Ping Pong Pros

And today's medal table...
