Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
I have a soft spot in my heart for Louisville ever since being stationed at Ft.Knox
DUDE HOW COOL IS THAT!!
Alright Syracuese and Pitt can go to the Big 16 with ND and Mizzou, and Louisville and Cincinnati will go to the ACC!
Or Big East do something!

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
actually guys I'm glad they're changing it and I hope for the Super conferences as it'll lead to a playoff not the BCS or as I call it the Bullshit Championship Series
Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
I was just at the Ohio State vs Penn State game, wow great atmosphere!
Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
Oregon won and Auburn won, both in tough games. Oregon State lost to Washington State lol bad day to be a beaver. Oregon plays a big game two Fridays from now at home against Arizona, which I will be attending
Wacky: Sounds like fun, I would love to play Ohio State in the shoe someday (revenge from the Rose Bowl). Or better yet, Ohio State at Autzen

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
BUCK THE FUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or O How I HATE Ohio State
I hate the Shoe as well. Had my friends rear window smashed in there as well as our tires slashed. Was Spit on, tripped up and down the aisle, threatened.
Which actually is worse than going to Camp Randall where I recieved a gash in my head thanks to the D Cell Battery they threw at me and the rest of the Michigan Fans.
Speaking of Wisconsin what a fucking gongshow Indiana was today really 83? I was emberassed by giving up 65 last week but 83? holy shit that's a world of Suck.
even though they won sloppy I still want Rich Rod gone as well as his D Coach Robinson. 7-3 may look nice but they suck something firece a better team would have beaten Michigan with it's 5 turnovers today but Pur-don't is just that.

I remember that one from the Rose Bowl toocanuck3360 wrote:BUCK THE FUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG best story ever.... for thanksgiving me and my family were in Phoenix and my dad grabbed some tickets (only like $20, cost $65 at Autzen... ridiculous) to the Oregon-Arizona game.I hate the Shoe as well. Had my friends rear window smashed in there as well as our tires slashed. Was Spit on, tripped up and down the aisle, threatened.
First of all, the area around it is a sewer. No worries about your tires getting slashed though, you're lucky to find a parking spot within two miles of the stadium.
Secondly, as I said, Pac-10 fans are sort of rude. So it's the fourth quarter, and if you watched the game, you know that the Arizona fans started jumping the fence ready to take down the goal posts (probably like Missouri did that was fun to watch) and turn the field red. Well Oregon has the ball and ties it up with 20 seconds left. Then after 2 overtimes Oregon wins... so now what? All the Arizona students have to walk up and out from the field. But then the started pelting water bottles at us and players (and one of out hot cheerleaders got a concussion from one, remember the karma circle, arizona ) yelling "U of A!!" so we yell back "U SUCK A!!" and throw the water bottles back. It was a good day. I can't wait for the Arizona game at Autzen, it's going to be a mad house

and trust me as bad as that is D cell batteries is just insane the Big10 rivalries for some reason get HOSTILE I know SEC fans who have even stated how they think they have great rivalries but no where nearly as hostile(with the exception maybe being LSU/Bama)
Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
then you've got two (eh probably 1) years left which you'll probably go up a few wins to a 10 or 11 win season.

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
not with that Defense Honestly I'm in the majority of wanting to see Rich Rod gone granted the Offense is stellar(to a degree as they do seem to disappear until they're trailing). But that Defense was a great D when he took over and he decided to change it to a 3-3-5 which doesn't work in the Big10 even 3-4's struggle unless you have athletic OLB's Giving up 65 isn't what I want even if they win I am emberassed to admit that Michigan is my team with their stellar D(sense the sarcasim lol)
Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
honestly though, MSU is on there way down this isn't going to be a long term thing for them, Iowa is ok but not great, OSU isn't gonna have there QB forever, PSU is starting to loose there edge and Joe Pa is probably gonna be done this season. Only really I think North Western and Michigan are on the rise in the Big 10 and I haven't looked into how next season will work with the new divisions but assuming they are in different divisions NW v. UofM or OSU will be the Big10(12) championship game.

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
The Divisional Breakdowns will look like this
X Division
O Division
Each team retained 1 Protected Crossover game
Protected Cross overs
Michigan v Suckeye State(The GAME)
Indiana v Michigan State(Old Brass Spitoon)
Illinois v Northwestern(Sweet Sioux Tomahawk)
Penn State v Nebraska(No trophy)
Purdue v Iowa(No trophy)
Wisconsin v Minnesota(Paul Bunyan's Axe)
They will play 5 vs the division and 3 Cross overs(1 protected and 2 rotating) every year.
Adding more teams is still in the Big10's mind and could be a lot of different schools in the mix have heard a lot same with the ACC and SEC as they both have followed the Big10's example of getting their own Cable network. which is a HUGE money maker and is one reason why Rutgers may end up in the Big10 as that'll give them the NYC TV Market. Texas(who almost joined the Big10 in 93) could also land in the Big 10 giving the BTN Dallas/Ft.Worth/Southwestern TX as a market too.

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
not every year if you look some rivalries unfortunatly won't be every year occurances but then again it's already that way the Little Brown Jug for one comes to mind with UM v UM not battleing every year.Although I'm glad that changes next year as that one is a great story and trophy
and if you ask a lot of Sparty land they never really liked that one they felt it was a forced Rivalry by the Big10

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
This is true, but it is a season ending rivalry, not as big as the UofM OSU game but still a season ender. I'd like to see that one continue, it just makes sense to me in some weird way Michigan Plays OSU and MSU plays Penn State.

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
I've just stopped laughing at the NU v Illinois game
Seriously when the next team scores do they yell "LOSERS WALK!!!!" god you'd think they would have checked first to see if it fits and checked with the NCAA before scheduling the game GONGSHOW at it's finest then again it is NU the smartest school in the big ten well until now lol

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
I'm always excited for the Thanksgiving Day game it's a Detroit tradition they may not be good right now but they are the ones who started it all back in 1936 Long before Dallas and the NFL decided to do their games.
The Detroit thanksgiving Day game has also given us some great moments(especially when Barry was running). I'm hoping they can surprise some people and do something against the Pats.

Re: NFL/NCAA Football Dissussion
I'm looking forward to the high school games, there is nothing more pure than high school football, last game of the season, big rivalry from across town, or next door. Winner gets ultimate sports bragging rights for a year, fight it out in front of your biggest crowd, all the alumni are back for the memories of school and to catch up with old friends. It's a great tradition
