Mountain West isn't much better than the WAC wacky... except TCU (because Utah is joining the Pac-12)

Colorado is headed for the PAC12(with Utah and Colorado joining)

The Big12 is faultering and will likely continue to hemorage teams to the PAC,BIGTEN,and SEC

if Boise Wanted to be taken seriously they'd join the PAC12 not the MWC

The Big 12 will turn into the Big 10 the Big 10 (which has 11 teams now) will turn into the Big 12 and the Pac 10 will turn into the Pac 12??? -sigh- can't they just put a cap on all this conference shuffling BS I like it how it was. Maybe at most put ND in the Big Ten because they're pretty much a defacto big Ten team as it is or at worst put them with the big east (which they are in basketball) and give that conference a little bit of life on the football end of things.

As for Boise State I think a MWC move will help them, they're close with an easy schedule now and the MWC is FAR superior to the WAC even without Utah. If they were in the same situation they were this year and they played TCU, Utah and AF and won those games in conference we wouldn't be having this discussion it would be the Ducks 1 Boise State 2 almost uncontested.

in the end we will end up with 4 super conferences which will have the end result of the BCS being gone and a playoff system in place

BIGTEN-16 teams(likely to see ND,Pitt and one other from the B12)
SEC-16/18 teams(B12 dissolves into SEC for the most part)
ACC-16 Eats up the BigEast
PAC16-you'll see 4 more jump in likely a few B12 but more so the BSU's and whoever else is out West that wants to be taken seriosuly

Louisville- a mid major team at best in college football... good team but would get smacked by most SEC teams, half the big ten, most of the pac 10, and most of the big 12.

Cincy- lost Brian Kelly.... lost any chance of national title hopes for a while

WVU- old power... but not that strong anymore. They probably win the big east but that isn't saying much this year. Cincy sucks, UConn really sucks, Rugters is eh, Pitt sucks, Syracuse..... pft, USF is so-so at best, Louisville is possibly the only team that is close to them.

but WHEN??? Lets check some records...

Louisville: Third game of the 2010 year... lost to Oregon State. Pac-12.
Cincinnati: Good god you lost to Fresno State this year. A loss to a WAC team isn't too impressive in my book.
South Florida: They haven't played anyone good except Florida and that didn't go all that well... SEC.

Kentucky.... sucks I'm sorry except for there win over Kansas they have no credible wins in a while. I'd take Vandy or Pitt over ECU any day. Vandy was not far out of title contention not long ago, but they still have fallen from grace. Pitt was a top 25 school not long ago either and if memory serves they are currently going to a BCS bowl if things remain the same. But even still I'd take half the Big Ten, most of the Big 12, SEC, and Pac 10 over them. Surprisingly you haven't even mentioned any of the ACC teams... but really outside of V-tech and Miami you've got nothing good football wise.

As for your basketball comments.... Xavier is not what they used to be, they're a good school I know but not what they were in the early 00's. Dayton's good if I filled out a bracket today I'd send them to the sweet 16 but still probably not further. As for other Big East, teams in mens basketball...

only really Syracuse has any big time final 4 ideas right now

The ACC is strong as always, so you might have some good out of that.

and uh as for Northern KY being good in college basketball D2... you're talking to someone who goes to a D2 school and is big into D2 sports.... no.... no they're not they're not even mentioned in the list of "good" D2 basketball teams they didn't even make the playoff's last year

-UCF is in the middle of a highly competitive recruiting ground which they are the BOTTOM of the picking list so even there move to a BSC conference wouldn't be too impressive.

You would add UCF, Memphis, Kentucky and Nova.... and replace ND, Seton Hall, and Depaul for basketball...... well first.... Nova is a Big East basketball school.

Kentucky, leave the SEC for the big east? Because if they go to the big east for basketball they'd have to go for football..... no it isn't happening. Memphis loves where they are at in C-USA for basketball they get an easy schedule bust still have a strong enough program to be able to schedule the big name guys to boost there RPI.

I'll admit not too long ago the Big East was a major player not too long ago.

USF, Rugters, Pitt, Louisville, UConn, WVU all were major football players at one point or another in the past 10 years. Number of championships? 0

Even then the number of BSC bowl wins since Miami and BC left is not too hot and only include WVU and Lousiville as teams.

In Basketball, UConn was once great but is about to go into a long waiting period.... sure the Big East has been a strong power getting into the tourney but outside of Syracuse none have had any serious championship potential.

The top conferences in the US right now are in order of power

SEC
Big 10
Pac 10
Big 12

I'd be willing to bet that the Capital 1 cup will go to one of those schools or an FCS football school not a Big East school, or a mid major. Face it wacky, I know you're a fan of the big east but the big east is no where near being a "power conference" and none of the teams you've suggested adding will make it a power conference in football or basketball.

Thats what you think and if that dont work, Louisville and Cincy can go to the ACC!

Wacky they'd get eaten alive in a larger conference no offense I have a soft spot in my heart for Louisville ever since being stationed at Ft.Knox but really they'll never be on the same plane as some of the majors(ok well most of the major powers)
