Novland Civil War

The Eastern Separatist Party the ELP has declared war on the Novland Federation and has brought en Novland into its 3rd civil war. ELP troops today moved threw the streets of Trondhime and has decleared the city as its capital. The ELP has a manpower of an estimated 230,000 troops, Most well trained and are determined to fight until the end. There are reports of total battalions of Novland troops turning to the east side all across that part of the coutry. An estemated 20,000 civilians living along the boarder have fled fearing the worst. The Prime Minister has ordered the full mobilization of troops and that all reservists come into service. There is already word of fire fights all over the eastern country side. The ELP have said they will not stop until eastern Novland is an independent state. A curfew has been ordered in most border provinces and in the closest province Raincaof full marshal law has been declared. It is expected that the Novland Armed forces will invade the east by tomorrow.

There is word now that Trosmo has been taken by eastern forces and battles have started on the outskirts of Traja. The east has also taken the A1 Highway the main highway to Rajavick. It is feared that an invasion of Rajavick is imminent. There have been heavy losses reported on both sides and it is also reported that over 5,000 civilians have died. Martial law has been declared all over Novland. The east now also has control of over 1000 nuclear weapons.

President Mcnall and the Rorysville Government have offered assistance to the Novlandic Government in the form of 2 RVAF 747-8M-EX's(same as the presidential aircraft) for the evacuation of the government as well as asylum on Rorysville Soil should the Capital Fall in. In addition The RV Navy has been sent out with supplies and aid for the residents of Novland

Aurora condemns the actions of the separatists and reiterates it's support for the Novland government.

Aurora also congratulates the brave men and women of the RVDF for their heroic actions in the early hours of the morning. The Auroran government feels safe in the knowledge that the RVDF is on site to aid Novland when needed.

Rafforsia (formerly named Raffore Islands) will be ready to send peacekeeping troops to Novland should the nation requires it.

At 4PM June 20th 4 air burst nuclear bombs were detonated over the suburbs of Rajavick killing an estimated 250,000 and paving the way for the eastern invasion. Western Forces still have control of the city center but they are surrounded by 400,000 eastern troops. The eastern Invasion in the south has halted just past Traja where the east says the boarder will begin. Then at 1PM in retaliation to the attack one day earlyer the Novlantic Prime Minister ordered a nuclear strike on Trondhime from his refuge in Rorysville. An estimated 1.3 million died in the attack. Now because of heavy losses on both sides there is talk of a cease fire but details are still very sketchy.

That's bad. Rafforsia would like to send its humanitarian aid teams and its peacekeeping troops to Novland to search for any possible survivors and to help the injured, should the nation required any assistance.

Aurora is against the use of Nuclear weapons in all conflicts, but hopes now that this will bring about a pause in hostilities.

Rorysville is offering an olive branch to both sides and is offering the use of it's soil as a neutral grounds for a peace talk summit between the two sides

Today there was a break threw in the cease fire agreement. Leaders of both the East and West have agreed to peace talks hosted by Rorysville.

After the first of many meetings between the east and west both leaders have agreed on a general broader area. The broader will be heavily fortified with only a few entry points. Harald Bonovich leader of the Communist workers party of the east and future president of East Novland declared victory.

The Nation of Victoria welcomes these new peace talks and offers its assistance where ever needed. The Government stresses that both side need to resolve this conflict to avoid further disruption to the nation and population. Also, will this have any major impact upon the qualifying tournament that Rajavik is hosting, Victoria offers any assistance that is needed.
