Rafforsia in HD

Update 1: Cargo Airport Island, Senoko, North, Rafforsia

While the overall idea is interesting, there's a few oddities about what you built. Firstly you should get a slope mod so the inclines for the bridge aren't too steep. The quarries look really out of place IMO. The clock tower, skyscraper and observation tower all look really out of place. Also, you should turn off your grid while taking pictures

I know about the grid problem. Realise it when I was editting the pics a week after i took them. Didn't bother to re-take cuz these pics are actually collecting bytes in the archive for almost a year and a half. and yes the quarry looks out of place, I just place it there for fun . About the skyscraper, clock tower and sky tower, they were there for historical and political reasons (the skyscraper is the headquarters of the Ministry of Trade and Industry).

I don't think there's ever justification for a skyscraper of that size in an area like that, it just looks ridiculous...hope i don't seem too harsh

And the reason for such a tall skyscraper is due to the fact that there are many departments within a ministry.

I really like the trainyard in the 4th picture down Aran .

And constructive criticism can only be a good thing, right? I think the bright lights and modern nature of the skyscraper is more out of place than the size of the building.

I think a large building would be more fitting than a tall one...in fact, it seems a altogether strange place to build a ministry at all xD

Saathoff: I believe I got them from the STEX. The large cruise ship (the one with orange flooring) is the Black Stern if I'm not wrong.

Peter: Yes, indeed. SimCity 4 should be modernized by going HD. And yes, I did editted the contrast and adding a black opaque overlay twice.

A point to note. The original size of the HD picture is 1920 X 1080 pixels (1080P HD) but it got resize to a smaller resolution as I'm using a free account on Photobucket. Is there any free imaging hosting site that doesn't alter the original resolution?

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to recent events, from today onwards, Rafforsia and West Borneo are now dependencies of Fornax Republic.



The main reason is this. Rafforsia is currently in a recession. Land space is a main problem too. In addition, threats are being made against Rafforsia for several reasons. West Borneo, having a population of 6 million, lacks the technology and manpower to help West Borneo to change into a developed nation.

Although Rafforsia has entered the space race, spaceship limitations have been imposed on Rafforsia, unable it to further expand its fleet, in which all of its spaceships are used for trading and travelling purposes. This results in a bottleneck in space travel and space trading via Rafforsia.

Seeing the Fornax Republic as a developed space nation, both Rafforsia and West Borneo made a pact between one another to consult Fornax Republic about both Rafforsia and West Borneo joining the Fornax Republic. The Fornax Republic agreed in Rafforsia and West Borneo joining its Republic on one condition: both Rafforsia and West Borneo are to be self-governed in internal affairs while the Fornax Republic are to control their external affairs.

On September 15, 2009, Rafforsia and West Borneo officially became the Earth dependencies of Fornax Republic. Members of the public of all three nations cheered with joy.

These are the followings issues that will be governed by the respective authorities:
Rafforsia (governed by itself): Health and Education; Transport and Infrastructure; Housing; Law and Order; Finance; Entertainment; Tourism (including Space Tourism); Agriculture
Rafforsia (governed by Fornax Rep.): Military; Space Trading
West Borneo (governed by itself): Education; Transport; Law and Order; Agriculture
West Borneo (governed by Fornax Rep.): Military; Finance; Trade; Tourism; Infrastructure; Health

On this note, Rafforsia spacefleet will now continue its spacefleet production on Planet RI 0001A Raffore Space Production Facility under the control of the Fornax Republic.

Rafforsia will remain as a member of the Confederacy of Free Regions, while the Fornax Republic will be applying for a membership of the Alliance of Independent Nations. West Borneo will remain union-less.

From the Prime Minister of Rafforsia:
Due to undesired situations, the New Republic of the United Rafforsia will now pull out of the Confederacy of Free Regions on September 20, 2009, Sunday at 1.20am Singapore Time. In any case, on the behalf of the people of Rafforsia, we hope that COFR will continue to prosper.

In addition, Rafforsia will return to the Alliance of Independent Nations again if the AIN members faces no objections.
