Confused???

The host city just posts pictures of (most likely) their stadiums when a particular event is taking place there. People good at photoshopping may be able to photoshop things like bike races which take place outside arenas. For opening ceremonies, usually people photoshop things like crowds and fireworks into pictures. If you're no good at photoshop you can always use Lots to do these things. You should look through some of the past Simlympic threads to see how event was done (the layout etc.) Hope I've helped

Canuck Winter Simplympic in just a great idea!!! I know that I've not been for sure the first one to think about it, however that idea was already flashed in my mind from a lot of time. But I think the problem is that there are few winter disciplines and on Simtropolis or Sc4devotion there are no venues for sports like Bobsleigh etc.... or in general for the principal sports of the Winter Games.....idea is beautiful indeed....but it would need to get organized at best.
I have written it in complicated way but I hope that you know what I mean

already being taken care of as we speak once I get my computer back up and running I'll be continuing on my simlympic arena,bobsleigh/luge track bats as for the ski events most of those can be photoshopped in as all it is is just gates,the ski jump I thik is out there in one of the Japanese BAT sites the Winter Simlympiad Idea has been kicked around for at least a year or so now

I understand Canuck.....I have turned a little bit on that Japanese sites but I have not found a lot....if could recommend me someone because I wouldn't know whether to find them again
The Idea of the winter simlympics realyy interest me and if it will be realized I seriously will candidate my city.
Even if to say the truth I prefer to use existing lots leaving photoshop to create some marginal things of contour as the public or banners etc...

well unfortunatly I attempted a set of gates for the GS and other down hill events and they're just so small that you'd have to zoom in so close that it'd be pointless and making the gates bigger well didn't look right either I mean would you really want a gat that is 5 times larger than a person?

As for the next Simlympics, I think it will just be in December as it gives us plenty of time; Bidding starts mid september, ends mid october; Torch relay starts november 1st, ends december 1st when the Simlympics starts.
And the chances are the December Simlympics will be a 'normal' simlympics, so summer events not Winter. We have quite a few possible bids in the line and we're not ready, and don't have enough time to create a winter Simlympics by December. I would love to do a Winter Simlympics, but so many people are looking forward to it we have to get it perfect. The first step is BATs.

hmmmm if I get back online I think I may have a location for me to bid in the middle of winter and yeah I thougt about that but then again also thought about the discussions of October

mmmmmmmm I don't know where is the problem .... maybe they have some difficulty with their server, or maybe you with your provider .... have you tried to redo the registration giving an alternate address (if you have it)?

Well.. i signed up awhile ago for the site and i never got the activation e-mail so everytime i try to redo the registration the code for my sc4 game has already been entered

I remember that make me something similar when I recorded the game, unfortunately I think it's a problem of that site, however if it can be comforting for you.....to me that site has never been helpful:)

the SC4 site really doesn't have much anymore Simtropolis and I believe SC4D both have the needed patches and upgrades available

where will i find the update for the BAT's to have lights for night??

the BAT updates I think are also available at ST,and or SC4D as well ummm also for the update to work you need the BAT installed(obviously) as well as the Other Patch

I've got this problem too (((( I don't have the night lights at any of the downloaded lots...I installed the patch, but it doesn't work. What can I do ???? ((((((((((

get the gmax. the download the bat. lot editor and the updates for the the bat and the sim city 4 rh. and will work
