Re: Confused???
Well in my case I use GIMP which is almost exactly like Photoshop but free ad in the case alot of us used logo's from previous games and changed them slightly(except in York's case the main logo was created by me)and alot depends onwhat your looking to do if your looking for team logos etc... sometimes when signing up for a league the commisioner of that league will help you find a logo based off your team name(I've done that with the STHL) either way
here's the link for GIMP

Re: Confused???
no problem thats what this thread is here for and as always feel free to PM me wuith any questions
Re: Confused???
Actually, I didn't use Photoshop (I don't have photoshop btw) or GIMP for most of my designs. I use Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 as it is the easiest to use for me. I only use Paint and GIMP for correcting picture size and minor edits.
Re: Confused???
Welcome to the forums Mr_Sim.
When bidding you don't have to worry about photoshop. Some (well most) bidders like to add titles and stuff to their images, or photoshop a logo; but it's not a requirement.
We're interested in the content of the images, not the quality of the photoshoping. And as Kitsune mentioned quite a lot of people use past olympic logos, which is fine. Or alternatively, in the off topic section there are quite a few people who I'm sure will be prepared to create a logo for you.
Looking forward to seeing your bid .

Re: Confused???
The ISC (People with the Olympic rings under their names) simulate the results.
It's quite a complicated process which can be read about here.

Re: Confused???
Hello, I'm new here and have a question: In PAS there is some limit to assign scores in a particular mode, or can freely choose the level (within the limitations, of course)?

Re: Confused???
nope if you want to lump all your points you receive in one category then feel free to do so although it is advised against.
Lumping points does not guarantee anything just increases an odd of winning a medal

Re: Confused???
You can.... but as canuck said, you definitely don't want to. Just because you allocate all your points on something doesn't mean you are guaranteed the gold.

Re: Confused???
Okay, thanks. One more question (really curious), How are sports simulations?

Re: Confused???
Usually it's done with a game that specializes in that, for example, a football (soccer) league would be done with the latest edition of the FIFA game (I forget the exact name)

I think he is meaning for the Simlympics, in which case, I'm not 100% sure (an ISC member should know)

Re: Confused???
We feed your PAS points into a giant supercomputer (or at least we wish we could!) and it uses that and several million random numbers to generate individual scores, which are used to determine the results of the competition, be it round robins, knockouts, or some other system. Then we repeat it 310 times over and voila! Simlympic Games!

Re: Confused???
Is it really only for SC4? I'm a CitiesXL player but I like the idea a lot.

Re: Confused???
I'm not gonna speak for everyone but there's no real reason you can't be involved. It all depends on who's running the league if they'd let you take part (again, no reason they shouldn't) but each is independent of eachother, they just all share a common home base here at simsports.
Re: Confused???
SC4 isn't really directly involved with anything here as far as I know, besides hosting an event, and I know the Simlympics allow cities XL bids. So its not an issue at all.
