Molowaku 2009/10: Excellence Through Openness
Well, it might not be known but Molowaku (renamed from Molowaku Island), my very own CJ, has been developing so much that it is now ready to host grand events, such as the Simlympics. The Molowaku Department of Education and National Sporting Committee have already chosen the location of the potential Simlympics competitions in Molowaku: Saint Paul.
A background on the potential host city: Saint Paul has a population of over 800,000 people, with five (5) stadiums already in place (with around seven more under construction) that can potentially bring in a lot of revenue to the Molowaku Government and to the non-profit charities that will utilize the money for developing programs that will alleviate hunger and encourage decency in the nation. The four stadiums are located within the University of Molowaku campus west of Downtown, with seating capacities ranging from 35,000 to 110,000, and they are on the picture below.
Arranging clockwise from top:
- Globe Arena (for badminton, basketball (preliminaries), and volleyball)
- Molowaku National Bank Arena (for boxing, fencing, hockey, judo, mixed martial arts, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting, and wrestling)
- Cardinal Rodriguez Memorial Stadium (for archery, road cycling, and shooting)
- Molowaku Stadium (for the opening and closing ceremonies; also for soccer and track and field events)
- Saint Paul Saints Field (for baseball and softball)
Saint Paul also has recently constructed the CityPark Stadium, a 12,000-seat arena in which it will host the artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampolining events, as well as tennis events (finals), located east of Downtown. Molowaku will develop venues for the other disciplines, such as:
- Aquatics Events (diving, swimming, synchronized swimming, and water polo)
- Basketball (finals)
- Beach volleyball
- Handball (preliminaries and finals)
- Modern pentathlon shooting and fencing
- Tennis (preliminaries)
- Track and BMX cycling
Other events, such as the beach volleyball, equestrian, kayaking, mountain biking, and sailing events, will take place either in or outside Saint Paul, because developments are still underway. The Athletes' Village, when it is completed, will be located northeast of Downtown, and it can be reached easily by subway (a 15-minute ride) or bus.
Public transportation is already extremely developed, with subway, bus, and train lines interconnecting city limits and extending all the way through the suburban towns and nearby (still developing) Carlson. The airport is already developed west of the city, in nearby Ocean View.
If you want to have more information about my proposal, feel free to ask me. There will also be updates on the Simlympics Bid on my CJ, which is technically part of my blog as well, http://www.anthonynachor.com/

Thanks a lot! I'm working things out to host a successful bid. By the way, due to my region's geographical area (close to the Equator), my nation does not get snow, so I may not host the Winter equivalent of the Olympics...

[Peter] Well, if you want more of Molowaku, feel free to check this out for size: http://www.anthonynachor.com/ -- there, you will find Molowaku pics and information, as well as my personal life story there too... There will be a part 2 of the latest CJ update I made there coming up that will be simulcast here on SimSports so that you can check out my already fast-growing CJ.

Oops, did I put that by mistake? :p
I was going to bid earlier than usual, by the way... that's why I placed 2009 since I'm actually ready this early to bid for the next Simlympics. Not to worry, if I don't make it this year, I'll work harder for the next round.
