Unfortunately that docent work as the winter games are in a set date of February.

I think that's a little narrow - it pretty much rules out the entire Southern Hemisphere from ever hosting the games.

I'm sorry to see you withdraw from the Winter Running I know it may be narrow in your mind but we weigh out the schedule almost a year in advance.We looked into a mid-year Winter Games but unfortunatly the vast majoriy of Nations as well as the RL Games are in the Northern Hemisphere Winter.There was also less intrest in Winter stuff say for 2 or 3 members in the middle of the year.

It's okay - I got kind of excited when I saw the advert on Simtropolis as I hadn't heard of this before. At any rate, it's worked out for the best as I am now working on a bid for the Summer games in 2010.
