Reds shotstop, Alfonso Green has just won the Player of the Week Award. At the age of 28, Alfonso Green might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Linktoria shortstop put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Jackie Robinson League Player of the Week Award.

His stats are: He racked up 10 hits in 17 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs last week in 6 games. A look at his season totals shows Green with 17 home runs, .299 BA, .401 OBP, 38 RBIs and 31 runs scored. Is he starting to realize how high is potential is? Owner Wacky32 (Alex Gray) spoke with him earlier today at Riverfront Stadium.
Alex: Do you know how good you are?
Alfonso: I don't know, but I sure make the team happy, escspecially that when theres a home run hit by someone we all dance to the Hey Song and celebrate at home plate.
Alex: HA! Youre frickin amazing and when I got this team I didnt know how talented we would be.
Alfonso: Thanks Alex. I really hope I make the All Star team for the JRL.
Alex: So you and Yip, the 1B, are really good friends now I hear.
Alfonso: Yeah, we do good things for this community and Yip and I want to play for the Linktorian National baseball team in August.
