P.A.S. XII Now Closed!

Our Points Allocation System (PAS) allows competitors to add emphasis to sports their athletes should do better in, all from one easy to use spreadsheet.

Due to the ever-expanding games, each competing nation now receives 1000 points (plus bonuses) which they can use to assign to all the different Simlympic sports. With the new system, nations can now chose not to compete in certain sports simply by assigning that sport with 0 points.

PAS is now Open for the XII Simlympiad (May 2010). It will close promptly on Wednesday 14 April to allow the qualification tournaments to be run.

Bonus points:
The method of calculating bonuses has changed slightly this time around, as we have moved to a system using diminishing returns. This simply means that older bonuses aren't worth as much as newer bonuses. Better keep active if you want that Simlympic spirit to transfer into PAS points!

Participation: you get a 25 point bonus simply for being part of each Simlympics.
Bidding: Submitting a legitimate bid that makes it to the ISC session will see you earn a 50 point bonus.
Hosting: Hosting is a big deal, so if you win hosting rights for the Simlympics, you get a whopping 150 point bonus.

Thanks to the dimishing returns, it is possible that your points total can go down from games to games, although not as sharply as it rises with bidding and hosting bonuses.

To clarify Blakeway's request: Lydosia no longer exists and has been replaced by Lanaya, so a name and flag change is in order (flag is the same as Blakeway's avatar).

Judging by how much my bonus dropped, it looks as if I ought to get going on building those other Lower Columbian cities... I just have to figure out which one to focus on first

What program are you using?
The Mac version is specifically for Office 2008, if you have Office 2004 the standard Excel version will open .

I have Numbers its the mac version of excel. I need the xls file but not encrypted. You guys were able to do it for me last time

I'm in the same boat as Saathoff i'd really apprecaiate a xls version that numbers can open but just without the incryption

Ah okay, you guys should've said! I have Pages too (Beats Excel, but shhh ) and should be able to get you a Pages compatible version within 24 hours .

Sorry, I've been signed up but I don't see my pas(East Rockcoast).

If you're not on that big nation list, just select "other" and enter the name of your nation (East Rockcoast) in the green field (next to Nation Name). You will get 1000 points.
