Re: Coeur d'Alene 2011
Yay! Another Lower Columbian bid!
Ooh...Coeur d'Alene (in RL) is pretty nice in the winter time...I have family over there...unfortunately, they're a 500-mile 9-hour drive from my place.

Re: Coeur d'Alene 2011
Thanks, everyone! Unfortunately, with the future of the Winter Simlympics in question, I'm going to have to shelve this bid until my colleagues in the ISC and I sort out when the next Winter Games will be. Nevertheless, I'll keep on preparing for my next chance to bid for those Games, showing pictures of my progress in building Coeur d'Alene either in this thread or in the SS CJ section. Keep watching this space!

Re: Coeur d'Alene 2011
I don't really play anymore :/ I'll be honest, I haven't played sernsen and davis park in about a year or toso in about 6 mths... i'm contemplating starting back into it but my folks can be __________ (insert expletive of your choice here). So they'd get pissy about it... still have alot of plugins I could install if I started back up but idk... I thought about it once and even started a city to do it in but then I had all these problems and..... anyway, thank you for your support but I don't expect to be... (besides, I do small, quaint little towns, not big urban cities, largest one I ever did was tetering on 300k and besides that Davis park at 110 was my largest, sernsen was maybe 20k, hillsburgh around 100 and the rest of the region about 30-40k.
Re: Coeur d'Alene 2011
Well, after reading in another bid thread that the February 2011 Winter Simlympics will go ahead as originally scheduled, this bid is back in action! I've tried creating another logo based on that of The Canyons Resort in Utah:
This logo is kind of a hybrid of the first logo for this bid and the Nyhaven 2007 logo. I'm unsure about having those purple gradients on it, however. Stay tuned for more...

I like the new logo...stylizing away from the rings is better.
