At around 10 PM Moscow/Chihiro time today, a satellite recorded this footage of the Qhiro Athletistadium in smokes. There were no fires confirmed, however there has been some speculation that a small fire could have started then the stadium's counter measures for fires have been activated which put out the fire. The footage shows the smoke dissipating within five seconds.

This footage has already begun to concern people around the world whether the stadium is a safe place for the Opening Ceremony. There are some speculations that this is part of the Simlympics Opening Ceremony and that the smoke was intended. If so, will the audience in the stadium expect to be suffocated in smoke?

We have interviewed Petrovar Simlympic Analyst, Miroslav Antonenko on what he thinks of the situation. "I am confident that Chihiro knows what their doing. This could be a publicity stunt, or a rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony or just an actual accident. If it was an accident, this shows how well prepared the stadium is in handeling disasters such as fires."

The Royal Family and the 2010 Chihiro Games Planning Committee has not officially commented on this matter.

The eyes of the simlympic world was focused today in Sarnia City, Sarnia Islands the host of the XII Simlympic Games last spring. The two countries, Petrova and Sarnia Island participated in a Simlympic Ceremony: the handing over of the Simlympic Flag. The mayors of Sarnia City passed the flag at noon to the mayor of Chihiro, Karisheila Martijei. The flag will be flown to its new home country, Petrova, which will be hosting the Games of the XIII Simlympiad. This is also the third consecutive time that an AIN nation will be hosting the games and this will be the first time that the Simlympic Games will be hosted in the Middle East/Caucasus Region.

The Games of the XIII Simlympiad will commence with the Opening Ceremony on August 16, 2010 at 6.30 pm Moscow Time. Tickets have been sold out for the games, with 94,000 seats sold. An expected 80 million people worldwide will be watching the opening ceremony. There are rumors that there will be the return of the Parasimlympic games, however neither the 2010 Chihiro Games Committee nor the ISC has spoken on the matter.

Today it has been revealed by Queen Zivanna Ivanka that during the Parade of Nations Part in the Opening Ceremony, every region/union will be walking to music native to them. She gave a sneak peak of two the songs that will be used in the PON:

OPENING CEREMONY REHEARSALS

In a short press conference today, the President of the 2010 Chihiro Games Committee, Victor Sari Devi, announced that there will be a complete rehearsal of the opening ceremony tomorrow at 2am Moscow Time. Only the International Simlympic Commitee will be allowed in and to make sure that nothing gets leaked, there will be strict security to make sure no cameras of any kind are brought in. And to make sure that no satelite cameras record the rehearsal, the top of the Qhiro Athletistadium will be closed off.

"Yes, the opening ceremony is finally done and will be underway! The ISC will be getting a special pass to see the ceremony a week before the actual start of the games, while the entire world will just have to wait one more week!" says Mr. Devi. When asked what the show will be like he said "Well, if you thought that the bid was huge, guess again. Here's something to think about: on slow dial up internet, the ceremony will take about 30 minutes to load. On broadband internet, the show will take about 10 minutes to load. And on high speed internet, the show will take about five minutes to load. The opening ceremony will have twice as much pictures than the bid itself and more. There will be some pretty innovative technologies used. And if I say more I'm afraid I will get fired!"

The ISC has already arrived in Chihiro last week. And most of the athletes and specatators have already arrived in Chihiro. Here is where they will be staying at.
