History of Ste.Pierre
Ste.Pierre was founded in the early 1900's by French Rorysvillians looking for a new home. They discovered the valley in the Summer and qucikly set up a small village on the banks of Wolf Lake(Tasiq Amaguk/ᑕᓯᖅᐊᒪᒍᒃ)
From there they survived the harsh winter learning from the native people of the land. After exploring the area Industries were set up in Fishing/Fur/ and Mining as the region was found to be rich in Iron,Copper, and Gold. As The RV Gold Rush of 1911 Set in The Region Grew with many new towns forming.
Ste.Pierre grew into a territory that was fought over by Rorysville and Marceau in 2 Wars. In 2009 Ste.Pierre was officially granted Statehood and the City of Ste.Pierre was named it's capital. It's the Largest city in the North and is still growing as the diamond trade and Natural Gas Industry has fueled growth.
