Svørdendar Bid for December Simlympics
The city of Svørdendar is being rebuilt and WILL bid for the next games. The canals have been redesigned and there is a rush of construction to get the city prepared for its bid.
There will be photos to follow

Here is the logo, with 'slight' Piet Mondrian influence.

Just to explain the logo. Once again I have chosen to represent the city in the logo. The black lines are the canals and the layout shows a slight resemblance to the actualy canal layout. The blocks of colour are obviusly to represent the Olympic/Simlympic colours.
Enjoy

I really like the new logo, inspired by the old one but with artistic influences....the city looks better than ever...I think you just need to add seawalls

Yeah the design of the logo is really interesting, basing the layout on the actual layout of the city is a clever idea.
SC4 photo looks good too, did you hand terraform each island? Must've taken ages!

umm, maybe! It took I think around 2 hours to do the whole city! A necessary evil that I must endure to make my city. That is not including terraforming the Simlympic Park. More to come ever so soon

I think last time the city was lacking in greenness, so I added avenues of trees to honour all the victims of the disaster that destroyed the previous city

Here is a preliminary photo of the Simlympic Park. This is just an introductory shot but there are still changes to be made. It WILL NOT look so harsh and barren. The layout of canals in the Park may need to be adjusted to get the right aesthetic look but it is on its way. Infact I am seriously removing alot of the bridges to make it mroe stream lined

Wow, that's pretty awesome. Certainly very unique!
Yeah, I'd suggest cutting down on the number of bridges, or possibly making the roads connecting the stadiums completely straight. Perhaps even removing some of the outer islands which are just made up of road?
But looks great .

I agree with slacker with the bridges, but the city layout somehow reminds me of the atlantian empire(im not sure if that's the name) during the simlympic torch relay, where there are also lots of canals in the city. But anyways good luck with your bid!
Re: Svørdendar Bid in the future....sometime
Man as much as I enjoy the concept the canals just dont do it for me. Everyone there own I guess. But idk maybe it will surprise me like the Penthsilli bid

Well these canals have a better layout than my previous city. The Simlympic Park is going to be radically changed and possibly moved.
