Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the closing ceremony. For14 days the heart of simsports was beating in Penthesili. Unfortunately the games officially end tonight, and the city will be back to its past rhythms. Of course don’t forget that we have the parasimlympics games for another two days. We have lived great moments of emulation, always with passion. Our athletes gave their best, and now is time to relax and enjoy the moment. The whole city for these 14 days was living to the rhythm of these unprecedented games…. Our feelings now are mixed, joy because everything went perfect and sadness because the games come to an end. Ladies and gentlemen the final countdown the seventh Simlympiad just started. Enjoy

Dear friends all over the world….. Dear citizens of Dimland ….. We did it!!!!!! We did very beautiful games. We won the bet. Our city from now on will be memorized as the city of the great Simlympics. We give it all. We did the best, for us and for the future of the games.
Great athletes of the world…. You are the heroes of these games… you gave everything you got. You made proud your countries no matter if you won a medal or not…. Participating in the games is the most important thing. And you were the center of our games… thank you.
At last I would like to thank the wonderful volunteers without whom the games would be impossible. And I would like to thank the president and the members of the International Simlympic Committee for their trust.

"People of Dimland, Athletes of the world, fellow ISC members,

Two weeks a go the August Simlympics began with a bang, a beautiful start to what has turned out to be a beautiful and incredible games. I'd like to first thank the organising officials of Penthesili 2008, especially lead organiser Mitsos. He has done an amazing job of ensuring all the venues were ready in time, showing the cities beauty to the world and welcoming athletes and tourists to Penthesili. So thank you, Mitsos.

Looking back on these past two weeks, I can truly say it has been the best Simlympics ever! Not just because we have the fantastic city of Penthesili as our host, not simply because it's been the most in depth and detailed Simlympics ever - It's been the best because of every single one of you which has followed the August Simlympics from the day it began until now. Each one of you has made this games special. So thank you.

But saying that, I'd like to reflect on just how good Penthesili's hosting has been. We've seen coverage of the games every single day from the host, we've had the most amazing opening ceremony ever and we\'ve had the joy of seeing a different part of the city each day for two whole weeks. I think it's fair to say that Penthesili has blown away any previous expectations of what hosting the Simlympics takes, and I'm sure you will all agree that Penthesili '08 has set the bar and from now onwards every Simlympic games will be compared to the marvel that has been Penthesili 08.

Finally, a huge thank you to each competing country for helping to make this a Simlympics to remember. There's been trials and tribulations, joy and tears, laughter and sadness, victories and upsets - but I believe all of the Athletes had a fantastic time during the past two weeks. Even if they weren't able to bring home a medal, they still represented their country during the worlds biggest sporting event - and that ladies and gentlemen, is the real joy of the Simlympics.

And now the moment has come… this is will be the end of the games. Something great is becoming past and we all feel sadness. Fortunately the next Simlympics will take place in three months. Eleni liades is coming to the center of the stadium while the cauldron is slowing down. The flame will be transferred into the Simlympic museum in south east Penthesili. This flame represents so much for all of us here, both spectators and athletes






Eleni is approaching the cauldron slowly to get the flame. Unfortunately all the great things are over. The flame is now extinguished. That’s the end of the games of the seventh Simlympiad














The opening ceremony has come to an end. From the Simlympic stadium here in Penthesili have a good night and see you in the next Simlympic games.

As the vice president of the Scandia Union I would like to formally congratulated mitsos, the city of Penthesili the nation of Dimland and the ISC on this truly remarkable games. Job well done.

Mitsos, thanks for hosting a great simlympics. This has been the first simlympics for us Petrovars and we will truly cherish our time here. Watching this is like watching the real olympics. Might I say that your hotels were comfortable and your cuisine is very delicious. I am going to urge the Petrovan Dept. of Tourism to put Penthesili at the top of the list! From your friends at Petrova, we say farewell.

What to say.... this is a farewell to the Simlympic Penthesili and a goodbye to what will be after .... I don't think anyone better than you Mitsos could host these games, your hard work will be a great source of inspiration for those who will come after you.
