PARASIMLYMPIC GAMES DAY 2

Good afternoon eveynone. this is the last day of parasimlympic games. here are the results.


Information: At the ParaSimlympic Games, swimmers compete in all four strokes - Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly and Breaststroke. Swimmers are classified according to their functional ability to perform each stroke. Classifications S1-S10 are for athletes with a physical disability (S1 being the most physically disabled athletes and S10 the least) and classifications S11-S13 refer to blind athletes (S11) and those with visual impairments (S12 & S13). Swimmers compete against athletes in their own classification. There are various ways for Paralympic swimmers to start their race: in the water, from a standing start, or a dive start sitting on the starting platform.














Information: Boccia is a sport for athletes with a disability. Similar to bocce, it is designed to be played by people with cerebral palsy and other locomotor disabilities affecting motor skills. Boccia can be played by individuals, pairs, or teams of three. The aim of the game is to throw leather balls - coloured red or blue (which side gets which is determined by a coin toss) - as close as they can to a white target ball, or jack. The jack is thrown first, then each side takes turns to propel their ball towards the jack. The balls can be moved with hands, feet, or, if the competitor's disability is severe, with an assistive device. At the end of each round, or end, the referee measures the distance of the balls closest to the jack, and awards points accordingly - one point for each ball that is closer to the jack than the opponent's closest ball. The team/player with the highest number of points at the end of play is the winner.

yeah that 's true leleone. but its time to go on with new exciting stuff. from now on i ll be more relaxed watching the others' efforts. but who knows may be bid again in 2012.

But why 2012 ? Why not 2009 or 2010 ? Even if Penthesili has nothing else to show, Dimland is a big...So many cities to apply a bid

you smart guy... will see. it depends on many factors that i cannot say anything for sure. there are so many applicant cities that want to host the games. i don't want to be a selfish guys

Your playing skill are just too good...Consider the Winter Simlympics (I think I'll try to make a nice city too for it )

Well done mitsos - you've done a great job. For those of us who took part we will remember Penthesilli as being a very well run Simlympics. And of course, West End is happy to take a medal in the final event

Yeah, after December I'm going to revert back to a normal set timetable again. (March, June, September, December).
