Ned: How you've been doing tonight? I'm Ned Ferro, prime minister of Maxisland and former county executive of Forks County. I am one of the presenters of Weburg's June 2011 bid. I agree with you, this bid will be the most detailed yet! This is the first time we've ever bid for the Simlympics.

We begin our bid with the emblem, the Flame of Life. It is a special flame found in the southern mountainous region of Maxisland. Why did we choose this emblem? It represents hope, unity and strength. It is also known as the Flame of Celebration and it truly lives up to it's name. Why? Because if Weburg does indeed host the 2011 Summer Games, this will not only be just another Simlympics, but a grand festival and celebration of sports.

You may not know this, but the colors of the emblem are the same as Our Flag. And of course, the Olympic rings were modernized to to represent the modern games Maxisland will bring to the ball game. This country will truly be the bridge between past and present.

Amy: Maxisland was once a dependency of Portugal. It was known as Terra Maxis and was a major capital of New Portugal. The capital and largest city of the dependency, Nóscidade (present-day Weburg), has hosted several national tournaments.

Currently, the city is ongoing a major makeover called Project Terra Nova. In the project, several Maxis buildings have been demolished and replaced with custom buildings. Also, during the games, restrictions will be placed on factories within the Simlympic cities.

Jarvin: Rigado! The Simlympics have been a huge infulential part of Maxisland. In this portion of the bid, we will be showing you the cultural side of our nation.
But what is Maxisland? What's the culture of this magnificent country? What makes Maxisland so special?
Maxisland is where every known culture meets. Though traditionally Maxisland has had the same cultures seen in nearby Newfoundland, in the past 10 years other cultures appeared in Maxisland as well. To make sure it's immortal, an International City has been built on Weburg's east side.

Nelson: Thank you Waylon and rigado everyone! Now, you guys have seen a huge chunk of the bid already, but I’m sure you all have a lot of questions. We asked the general public of what they thought of the bid and here are the general questions from the public. And remember, if you have a question, please don’t hesitate to ask your question in the Weburg 2011 Comments Thread.
Why pick June 2011?
The Maxisland Simlympic Committee decided that this time, the city as well as the country is ready to present itself in the international audience. Like the saying goes “practice makes perfect”. That’s exactly what we’ve done. Throughout early April 2011, we have been preparing for this bid and we think that this time we will hit this out of the ball park.
Maxisland has visited past hosts from 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 to see what made the host’s bid so extraordinary. We did just that and we expanded from those ideas to make this bid.
How long did this bid take?
The 2011 Weburg bid was started a couple of months after the groundbreaking ceremony on the Maxisland Simlympic Committee’s headquarters. A fully detailed bid was submitted to the Maxsisian Simlympic Bidding Committee and is now underway for the June 2011 Bidding Season.
What will happen should Maxisland get to host the next games?
As with any other past host, the country will be working non-stop to prepare for the games. Stadiums will be renovated, streets will be cleaned, the cities will be cleaned and decorated, venues will be secured and mass transit such as subways, trains, buses and shuttles will be cleaned and renovated. This country has been used to hosting a wide array of events, but this time, this country’s preparations will be like never before, as we prepare for the celebration of the games of the summer simlympiad.
What makes this bid so special than the other bids?
The city not only has set itself in the international stage, but has completely revamped the city as well as the bid standards. But what really sets our bid apart is our true determination to host the games. In a sense, if it weren’t for the 2010 FIFA World Cup bid failure, the city wouldn’t have been transformed into a modernized and energetic city. The huge loss of the bid two years ago definitely played a major role in the founding of Project Terra Nova, the renovation of the entire nation. We have also visited the past host cities as well as meticulously going over the bids of not only the past winners but the past bidders as well. We feel that there is a missing ingredient to most of the bids and we think that this bid has got it.

Pourquoi Juin 2011?

We asked the general public of what they thought of the bid and here are the general questions from the public. Why pick June 2011?
The Maxisland Simlympic Committee decided that this time, the city as well as the country is ready to present itself in the international audience. Like the saying goes “practice makes perfect”. That’s exactly what we’ve done. Throughout early April 2011, we have been preparing for this bid and we think that this time we will hit this out of the ball park.
Maxisland has visited past hosts from 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 to see what made the host’s bid so extraordinary. We did just that and we expanded from those ideas to make this bid.
How long did this bid take?
The 2011 Weburg bid was started a couple of months after the groundbreaking ceremony on the Maxisland Simlympic Committee’s headquarters. A fully detailed bid was submitted to the Maxsisian Simlympic Bidding Committee and is now underway for the June 2011 Bidding Season.
What will happen should Maxisland get to host the next games?
As with any other past host, the country will be working non-stop to prepare for the games. Stadiums will be renovated, streets will be cleaned, the cities will be cleaned and decorated, venues will be secured and mass transit such as subways, trains, buses and shuttles will be cleaned and renovated. This country has been used to hosting a wide array of events, but this time, this country’s preparations will be like never before, as we prepare for the celebration of the games of the summer simlympiad.
What makes this bid so special than the other bids?
The city not only has set itself in the international stage, but has completely revamped the city as well as the bid standards. But what really sets our bid apart is our true determination to host the games. In a sense, if it weren’t for the 2010 FIFA World Cup bid failure, the city wouldn’t have been transformed into a modernized and energetic city. The huge loss of the bid two years ago definitely played a major role in the founding of Project Terra Nova, the renovation of the entire nation. We have also visited the past host cities as well as meticulously going over the bids of not only the past winners but the past bidders as well. We feel that there is a missing ingredient to most of the bids and we think that this bid has got it.

Maxisland a visité hôtes passé à partir de 2007, 2008, 2009 et 2010 pour voir ce qui a fait la soumission de l'hôte si extraordinaire. Nous l'avons fait et nous avons élargi de ces idées pour faire de cette offre.

In it, New Rhodesia enters first and Maxisland enters last. The nations are ordered by the first name of their Maxisian translation. The rest is just like you see at every Olympic opening ceremony.
