Waterfront City 2011
Waterfront City, Linktoria is a bidding city for the 18th ISC Session to select the host of the October 2011 Simlympics. President Alex Gray said, "We need to take a step back and go for the ISC Session instead. We feel like right now this is what we can start out with." Altough with many failed attempts to host an international event, besides Simylmpic Qualifying Tournaments, President Gray feels like this time can be our chance. "Our goal is to someday host the simlympics, but you gotta start somewhere."
Waterfront City will be willing to host the 18th ISC Session this fall in the Athletic County, Linktoria!
This is the Waterfront City Convention Center, this is where the ISC Session will be held if Waterfront City is elected. The conference room can hold up to 5,000 people.
Thw Waterfront Plaza (Future Simlympic Village) is a very nice area were spectators and other people can hang out, like shopping, restraunts, parties, and much much more. The hotel on the left is the Marriot Hotel is where the spectators will stay for the ISC Session if Waterfront City is chosen.
Re: Waterfront City 2011
When you host and ISC Session, you need really good transportation. Theres a very good monrail system in Waterfront City, a great bus transportation, and a fantastic airport.
The Waterfront Plaza is just not the picture above, it also has other building part of Downtown Waterfront City, such as great business, parks and recreation where celebrations and parties can be geld after the host is selected, a casino, malls, and restraunts.
The WaterWave Momuments is a beautiful signature to Waterfront City as well. This is a place where people hang all the time.

Re: Waterfront City 2011
To say the least, it's certainly looking better
Suggestion though: Put your tallest buildings (in this case those are the ones in picture 2) away from the edge of the city tile. Realistically speaking, the downtown isn't on the edge of town. Even if it does go into another city tile, it would still look better if, next time, it was farther away. But don't do it now, because you've already developed it (unless you think you can rebuild before the deadline)
Also, I don't know if it's just me, but your convention center... well... doesn't look like a convention center Maybe pick a different building.

To me it looks like it's only a huuge Hotel complex, no Downtown... So it' nothing too bad if it's at the edge of the city
