Thanks
No Will, you get the view of the site when it's March (like everyone else except for people who have been helping me)

This cauldron lighting makes the one I'm going to show to be a bit less than ridiculous...

carl, it'd be far better if you let your music fade out instead of suddenly stopping. it just sounds weird. other than that, it's great! =)

Okashi 2013 Volunteers
(This idea is completely original and not used in the Simlympic Bid or the Simlympics. This is an inaugural and "Beta" version of the Volunteer Program of Okashi 2013.)
"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well." - Baron de Coubertin, Founder of the Modern Olympics
"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well." - Baron de Coubertin, Founder of the Modern Olympics
From 111222333444, on a personal perspective:
Volunteering during the Simlympics or any organized events is probably one of the most important things, if not the most important of them all. Without them, any organized event would be impossible. This bid in itself is not made by me, but by many people putting together their ideas to make the bid go the way it is. I would like to thank those people: USNW people, Alec, Dejon, Will, Greg and more, who had commented, critiqued and shared their ideas. My kudos to you!
On the other hand, This idea of volunteerism came along one Saturday Morning. As a volunteer myself, I observed that helping each other out to the community can clearly make a difference, it would make the job faster, make everyone and best of all, you will feel good in the end! After that shift in the hospital, I watched one of the Olympic Speeches made by Jacques Rogge, the head of the IOC. He always state in his speeches that the volunteers always make the Olympic Games possible. This statement then generated an idea: What if this happened here at the Simlympic Games? I continued my research in the Simlympic archives and found out that ideas such as these are what makes Simlympics different. Look at the former hosts for example. They have dedicated their time bidding and making a great opening ceremony. Look at even at the most unnoticed bids, They dedicate their time to create a decent bid that would hopefully make it to hosting. But I do believe that we can do more!
By helping out in one of the bids or in the games, even not this one, I think you can make a difference to the community!
Okashi 2013's Official Speech:
Okashi is introducing an idea never before done in previous Simlympics. Keeping our promise of "Harmony through Unity" we have introduced:
It is called "Okashi 2013: Volunteer Program"
But what exactly does this organization do? For one part, this is a program that enables YOU to help out with the Okashi 2013 bid and if granted, the Okashi 2013 Simlympics. Not only that it would benefit the bid you are supporting, it would also make you feel good and make you feel that you have done something in the community.
But how do I become a volunteer? It's simple actually, just comment on this forum or on the upcoming Okashi 2013 Official Bid for the June 2013 Simlympics and you'll become a volunteer!
But it looks like I'm supporting an opposing bid... It's okay, Okashi 2013's bid is not for the benefit of the host but for the benefit of the Simsports Community! If this idea prove to be successful, many bidders in the future would look at this idea and maybe incorporate it in their official bids. One small step can be a one giant leap!
Are there any "real" positions available? YES! check them in the list below:
If you like this idea, say "I'M IN!"
Thanks for looking at the idea!

Simlympic Park Teaser! This is an interior shot of the Teijin Park Stadium, with the Simlympic Tower in the Background. This gives you an idea what's inside the Simlympic Park!
