Qualifying Tournament | Mens Rugby Sevens | Belleville, Kaskaskia

Welcome to Bellevillie, the capital of Kaskaskia, for theOkashi 2013 Mens Rugby Sevens Qualifying Tournament. Sixteen nations will participate in this event at the games in Okashi, six of which have qualified automatically.

This tournament will decide which nations will occupy the remaining 10 slots. A field of twenty-four teams will compete for these slots in a tournament consisting of two rounds, the first of which is simple single-elimination. Eight teams have a bye in the first round.


Two days from now, the teams that are victorious in the first round will go on to face these teams in the second round, from which all of the winners and the two highest scoring losers will advance. This tournament will alternate days with the Womens tournament for the same event.

And now for the games of round one, held at Fontaine Memorial Stadium in the neighborhood of Northcastle. The stadium is the home of the Northcastle Lions Rugby Club.
