Qualifying Tournament | Womens Rugby Sevens | Belleville, Kaskaskia

Welcome to Bellevillie, the capital of Kaskaskia, for the Okashi 2013 Womens Rugby Sevens Qualifying Tournament. Sixteen nations will participate in this event at the games in Okashi, seven of which have qualified automatically.

This tournament will decide which nations will occupy the remaining nine slots. A field of nineteen teams will compete for these slots in a tournament consisting of two rounds, the first of which is simple single-elimination. Eleven teams have a bye in the first round.



Two days from now, the teams that are victorious in the first round will go on to face these teams in the second round, from which nine teams will advance. This tournament will alternate days with the Mens tournament for the same event.

And now for the games of round one, held at Fontaine Memorial Stadium in the neighborhood of Northcastle. The stadium is the home of the Northcastle Lions Rugby Club.
