How do you get your Music

Do you still go old school and buy CD's or even older school Vynal or do you get MP3's and where do you go for them?


I do a mix of ll the above, I still like going to local Music stores when I travel to different Cities and I still like buying a CD or even better A Record on Vynal nothing beats that rich warm sound of Vynal. I do get MP3's usually off of a few Bit Torrents or I rip my CD's and Albums onto my Comp so I can listen to them on my Ipod.

Well for the most part I get MP3 music and also still have a vinyls, but mostly listen to music on the internet... I used to have a sam goodies here in my town but they went belly up lol

lol figures eh the closest place taht I go is Dearbron Music in Canton here otherwise I'll hit the Mega Chain Best Buy

MP3s all the way. I have about 10 CDs but in my iTunes library I have 1371 songs . Some have come from friends CDs, some from my CDs but most from digital files; either sent from friends over IM, downloaded off Bit Torrent or purchased from iTunes.

No need to bow your head, the music industry is so seriously screwed up I don't want to give them any of my money. They expect you to pay the same price for downloading an album as if you bought it on a CD and then they cram it with DRM so you can only play it on certain devices. Then they take like 90% of the profits, leaving the actual artists with nothing.

and of course, downloading it for free (its not illegal in Canada..... )

In Australia the major record labels are teaming up with the likes of iTunes and Myspace to offer major artists for free. Of course they will make their money from advertising and rip-off the artists!

i get all my music from iTunes, though the really hard to find ones, i get from Limewire

Radio but for my mobile music good old youtube downloader, cut it and then convert it to Mp3 (that's how cheap I am but hey i'm on a limited budget there's a credit crunch)

I do that sometimes as well. There's sites which let you put in the YouTube URL and spit you back just the MP3.
